After an exciting final in Inselhalle Lindau , where the audience voted for their favourite projects, here is the podium! 🥁

With its inspiring story and powerful vision of inclusive tourism, NavigAlps won the hearts of the audience and took home the first prize!

Explore hidden gems, avoid crowded destinations and earn rewards to spend in local businesses! A fun and innovative way to rethink Alpine tourism.

🥉 3rd PLACE – TouMove 🚌

Making sustainable mobility easier by connecting tourists with existing transport solutions across the Alps!

💶 €10,000 in prizes to support young Alpine innovators!

🏔️ Meet the finalists of Pitch Your Project 2026!
To close our finalist spotlight campaign, meet GemGo — a mobile app using gamification to support more balanced and sustainable tourism in the Alps. 📱✨
GemGo helps visitors discover similar but less crowded alternatives nearby, while rewarding lower-impact choices such as travelling by train or visiting outside peak season. 🚆🌱

Travellers can earn GemPoints and turn them into GemDeals, offering discounts at local partner businesses.
A beta launch is planned in Bavaria and Aosta Valley.
And there is more: GemGo, winner of the EUSALP AI Hackathon, has now reached the final of Pitch Your Project 2026! 💡

🏔️ Meet the finalists of EUSALP Pitch Your Project 2026!
Today, we are continuing our finalist spotlight campaign with PED’ALP, a project promoting sustainable cyclotourism across the Alpine region.
PED’ALP is a free, multilingual digital application designed to connect travellers with local producers, protected natural areas and authentic Alpine food traditions.

Its pilot will be launched in the Parc naturel régional du Vercors in France, in cooperation with local producer networks and existing territorial initiatives.

By promoting low-carbon mobility, supporting rural economies and encouraging respectful behaviour in protected natural areas, PED’ALP contributes to a more sustainable way of travelling in the Alps. Its long-term ambition is to create a model that can be replicated across the Alpine region. 🚴🥬🏔️

🏔️ Meet the finalists of Pitch Your Project 2026!

Today’s spotlight is on TouMove— a project rethinking mobility and visitor flows in the Alpine region. 🚌

In the Alps, some destinations face overcrowding, while nearby valleys and villages with strong tourism potential remain under-visited. 🗺️

At the same time, many transport services already exist — buses, hiking shuttles, hotel transfers or on-demand mobility — but they often operate separately and are not always easy for visitors to use. 🚞🚖🚲

TouMove connects these services through one coordination layer. Through an app, visitors can request a journey, while available seats in existing transport services become visible, bookable and coordinated.

A first pilot is planned in the **Pillerseetal in the Kitzbühel Alps. 🏔️

🏔️ Meet the finalists of Pitch Your Project 2026!

Today, we are continuing our finalist spotlight campaign with Connäct, a youth-led initiative bringing democratic participation, climate education and media literacy directly into classrooms.

Developed by members of the Youth Council for Climate and Sustainability of THE LÄND , Connäct addresses an important challenge: youth participation often reaches young people who are already engaged, while many others remain outside the conversation.

Through interactive workshops in secondary schools, young facilitators create a space for students to discuss climate change, democratic participation and the role of social media. Students are then invited to develop concrete proposals, which are shared with local councillors and political representatives.

Connäct aims to build a network of trained young volunteers who can bring these workshops to more schools across Land Baden-Württemberg, Germany and, in the long term, the EUSALP Alpine region.

Because youth participation should be accessible to everyone — not only to those already involved. 🗣️🌱

🏔️ Meet the finalists of Pitch Your Project 2026!
We are starting our finalist spotlight campaign with Navig’Alps, a project aiming to make Alpine tourism more inclusive and accessible.

Navig’Alps is an accessibility-focused trip planning web platform designed for people with reduced mobility visiting Alpine regions.
The platform provides reliable, location-based accessibility information on accommodation, outdoor activities, cultural attractions, restaurants, transport and essential visitor services. By centralising this information, Navig’Alps helps users plan their trips with greater confidence and enjoy Alpine nature more independently.

Because discovering the Alps should be possible for everyone. ♿🏔️

🏔️ Understanding risks in the Alps means being better prepared.

As part of their mandate, the members of Thematic Group 3 of the EUSALP Youth Council wanted to turn their discussions into a concrete contribution for the Alpine community.

They have therefore developed an awareness campaign on risk governance in the Alpine region, bringing together key information on the different risks affecting Alpine territories and on why awareness and preparedness matter.

🌧️ Floods, landslides, avalanches, wildfires and other natural hazards are part of the reality of the Alps, and climate change is making some of these risks increasingly important.

Through this campaign, our YC members want to help make information more accessible, encourage awareness and contribute to building more resilient Alpine communities.

Over the coming weeks, we will share their work in stories to better understand the risks around us. 🌍

Because being informed is already a first step towards being prepared. ℹ️🏔️⚠️

Five selected projects will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas in Lindau during the EUSALP Annual Forum 2026 and compete for support to turn their projects into reality.

🏔️ The new faces of the EUSALP Youth Council have arrived in Lindau, Germany, for their very first in-person meeting! 🇩🇪
From 17 to 20 July, they are spending four inspiring days together on the shores of Lake Constance to officially launch their 2026–2027 mandate.
