At Families First, parents can find information, support, friendships and opportunities to help one another with the very important job of raising a family

WHAT IS A FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE? Family resource centres are accessible, welcoming, fun places for families to get together and take part in a variety of activities. Families First, previously known as Carousel, began in 1994 to help promote the emotional, physical, intellectual and social well-being of children aged 0-6 and their families. This is done by offering a variety of programs and services, such as parent-child play groups, field trips, special events, clothing exchanges and cooking groups. All of the programs and services at Families First are offered at no cost to families thanks to funding from the Public Health Agency of Canada and the generosity of our partners.

‼️Please Note our Playroom Drop In hours! Monday- closed, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday- 9:00-2:30 and Friday- closed‼️

📝The program requiring pre registration this week is Baby Club!📝

⭐️Just a friendly reminder that our Playroom is geared for children aged 0-6 years old!⭐️

🧥❄️This is the time of the year when many of us are digging out the snowsuits and boots to get ready for colder weather only to discover they no longer fit!❄️🧥

❄️🥾During the month of November and December we will be accepting gently used children’s outwear (coats, hats, boots and snowsuits)! If you find yourself with clothing that doesn’t fit anyone at your house, we will gladly accept it here at the centre! You can trade for something that does fit, or we will have them here for someone who could use them!🥾❄️

❤️❄️Also, if you don’t have anything to give and are still in need of items, that’s ok! Come get what you need! We don’t want to see anyone going cold!❄️❤️

🎃Thank you to our friends at Perrin's Marina Villa for inviting us for some Halloween fun! We had so much fun together! We hope to visit again soon. 🎃
