A 2024 Stanford study of thirty special operations veterans reported roughly an 88 percent drop in PTSD symptoms a month after 1BOGAINE treatment, and Texas has now put fifty million dollars into clinical trials. PSI1OCYBIN gets treated like a brand new trend. It isn't.

It comes from certain mushr00ms and interacts with the brain's serotonin system, temporarily opening connections between regions that don't normally communicate.

Researchers are studying it for depression, anxiety, and PTSD that hasn't responded to standard treatment. Trained supervision is not optional, and it is not a cure for everyone.

A genuine legal grey area, and that does not mean freely available.

5-MeO-DMT sits in a genuine legal grey area. Unlike most psychedelics, it is not scheduled under Canada's main drug law. That does not make it freely available, though. Its sale is regulated under the Food and Drugs Act, and it is not approved for any therapeutic use.

Legal for a handful of churches. No medical route at all.

Ayahuasca is legally complicated because of what is in it: DMT, a controlled substance. There is no medical access route in Canada. The only legal use belongs to a handful of religious congregations that hold special exemptions to import and use it as a sacrament.

Same plant, two different laws.

Pe**te is a rare case in which the plant and its active compound are treated differently under Canadian law. Mescaline on its own is controlled, but the pe**te cactus is specifically exempted, in recognition of its deep sacred importance to Indigenous communities. Isolate the mescaline, and you are back under the law.
