Sanare really takes the bacon… 😉🥓

With Halloween just around the corner, our team showed up in full costume spirit—including one very dedicated strip of bacon who was spotted making the rounds around the office. From brushing up on the criminal code to hallway patrols, she brought the sizzle everywhere she went.

⏰ Important update for our clients ⏰

Alberta will no longer adjust clocks with seasonal time changes starting November 1, 2026. Because of this change, some of Sanare's electronic appointment programs might send out reminders which may be off by 1 hour. Please review your upcoming appointments to make sure the times are what you expected. Contact us to confirm appointment times or to make any adjustments.

As Child Abuse Prevention Month comes to a close, we want to thank everyone who helped our community Go Blue this October. Every conversation, shared post, blue shirt, and act of support helps shine a light on the importance of protecting children and supporting families. 💙

While October gives us a special opportunity to raise awareness, this work does not end when the month does. At Sanare, we are here year-round, working alongside children, youth, families, and community partners to support healing, strengthen safety, and help create brighter futures. Thank you for standing with us and for continuing to believe that every child deserves to feel safe, heard, and supported. 🐾

Today, we are proud to Go Blue for Child Abuse Prevention Month. 💙

Our team gathered beneath the blue-lit Saamis Tepee to stand in solidarity with children, youth, and families impacted by abuse. Wearing blue is a simple but meaningful way to help raise awareness, spark important conversations, and show our shared commitment to building a safer community for every child.

Thank you to everyone in Medicine Hat and across Alberta who is wearing blue today. You can still see the blue tepee until October 26th, so be sure to check it out and to share your photos using . Let's create a wave of support for children and families. 💙💙

Tonight, the Saamis Tepee will be lit blue in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month and the Go Blue initiative. 💙

From October 20 to 26, this meaningful landmark will shine blue as a reminder that every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and heard. It is also a symbol of our community’s shared commitment to raising awareness, supporting survivors, and helping prevent child abuse.

We invite our community to visit the tepee, take a photo, and share it online using . Together, we can help spread awareness and show that Medicine Hat stands with children, youth, and families. 💙🐾

The statistics shared here highlight the importance of continuing to raise awareness, support children and families, and work toward stronger systems of care across Canada.

While the realities of child abuse are difficult to acknowledge, every child deserves to grow up feeling safe, supported, and believed. We are grateful for the Child and Youth Advocacy Centres across Canada that provide coordinated, child-centred support to children, youth, and families.

Together, we can help create communities where children are protected, heard, and given the opportunity to heal. If you or someone you know needs support, Sanare is here to help. Associations and services across Alberta are also available to support children, youth, adults, and families. 💙
