A Special Thank You to your Fair Board from the President Polly Sprung
Before we wrap things up, I would like to take a few minutes to recognize and thank our Fair Board members for all the work they put into making our fair a success.
A fair doesnβt just happen. It takes a lot of planning, hard work, teamwork, and people willing to step up and help wherever they are needed.
Mary Woodcock our Treasurer, was unable to be with us during the fair because of work, but i want her to know that we appreciate everything she does for us throughout the year.
Christine Cuddy our Secretary, stepped up and took on the Treasurer duties during the fair. Christine, thank you for taking on that extra responsibility and making sure things kept running smoothly.
Bertie Brown , our Homecraft President, was unfortunately sick during the fair. We missed having her with us, but we certainly appreciate all the time and effort she puts into Homecraft and into our fair.
Shirley Brown deserves a big thank you for looking after the Equestrian and Kids Departments. Those are important parts of our fair, and we appreciate all the work she puts into them.
Kim Alldread was also away because of work, but we want to recognize and thank her for everything she contributes to the fair.
Larry Sprung was busy behind the scenes with grounds keeping and tractor duty. Larry, thank you for all that hard work. Keeping the grounds in shape is a big job, and we appreciate everything you do.
Kelly Cronkright helped out at the gates and with all those little jobs that come up during the fair. Sometimes itβs those small things that make the biggest difference, so thank you, Kelly, for always being willing to help.
And a special congratulations and thank you to Dawn Geall Keegan our 50/50 sales superstar! Dawn did an amazing job selling those tickets and helping make the 50/50 such a success.
We also want to give a big thank you to Jeanette Seaborn for stepping in and filling in for Homecraft. We are very grateful that you were willing to jump in and help when you were needed.
To the Entire Fair Board
I want you all to know how much your dedication means.
There are countless hours spent planning, organizing, making phone calls, solving problems, working behind the scenes, and doing the many jobs that most people never see. When something needs to be done, you step up and make it happen.
You are the people who keep this fair alive. Your commitment to our community, our exhibitors, our families, and to keeping this tradition going is something we should all be proud of.
It isnβt always easy, and I know there are long days, unexpected challenges, and plenty of hard work along the way. But you continue to show up, pitch in, and work together β and that is what makes this board special.
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything you do and everything you give.
Please take a moment to be proud of what you accomplished. This fair was a success because of the people sitting on the board.
We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated group of people working together.
Well done, everyone. Thank you for your commitment, your friendship, and your hard work. Hereβs to another successful fair and to many more years of keeping this wonderful tradition alive!
Thank you, Fair Board β you are truly appreciated.
