Greenstone Mine Experience Program – Fall 2026

Minodahmun Development LP, in partnership with Equinox Gold – Greenstone Gold Mines and NORCAT, is accepting applications for the upcoming Greenstone Mine Experience Program.

The four-week program runs from September 21 to October 16, 2026 and is open to members of local First Nations.

Participants will gain hands-on exposure to the mining industry through:

Introduction to mining and common core
Two weeks of job shadowing on the mine site
Career pathway planning

Over the past four weeks, participants in Minodahmun’s Greenstone Mine Experience Program stepped beyond the classroom and into real-world mining operations. Through industry certifications, site visits, job shadowing, and conversations with industry professionals, they gained valuable insight into career opportunities in the mining sector. They even got a behind-the-scenes look at the gold room and a real gold bar!

This program was designed to open doors, build confidence, and create meaningful pathways toward long-term careers. Graduates are leaving with more than new skills and experience— they are leaving with new connections and a strong foundation to support their future goals.

We are proud of all that this cohort has achieved and excited to see where their journeys take them next!

Greenstone Mine is looking for Indigenous artists from our local communities to showcase their artwork in the Indigenous Relations Space. Selected artists will receive compensation for artwork chosen for display.

This is a wonderful opportunity to share your creativity, culture, stories, values, and connection to the land with others. All art forms and styles are welcome, including painting, drawing, sculpture, digital art, and more.
