Safe, affordable and accessible housing helps children and families thrive.

Yesterday, we joined Toronto Community Housing, the Government of Canada, the City of Toronto and community partners to celebrate the reopening of 50 Torbolton Dr., a renewed community designed to better support families, including children and youth with disabilities and developmental differences.

It's a powerful example of what's possible when housing, health care and government work together to build more inclusive communities.

Over the last year, Holland Bloorview and Empowered Kids Ontario have been busy opening new brain-computer interface (BCI) clinics across the province, including at the John McGivney Children's Centre in Windsor, where one client is using the power of his thoughts to play ball this summer!

The continued expansion of BCI clinics across Ontario is made possible thanks to the generous support of The Slaight Family Foundation, whose $30 million gift to 11 organizations in the represents the single largest investment in disability in Canadian history. Anyone who is eligible to receive developmental services meets the disability requirement for ODSP (Ontario Disability Support Program).

However, there are other criteria to meet to be approved for ODSP funding, such as financial eligibility.
