Join Us to Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 19
The Ooknakane Friendship Centre, in collaboration with the Penticton Indian Band, Syilx Okanagan Nation Alliance, Okanagan College and the City of Penticton, is proud to host a special community celebration in honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day.

National Indigenous Peoples Day is a time to recognize and celebrate the cultures, histories, languages, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples.
The day will begin with opening prayers and welcoming remarks, creating a respectful and inclusive space for all. Attendees can enjoy a vibrant showcase of Indigenous culture, including:
traditional music, dance, storytelling, local service providers and community connections.
We invite the community to come together in celebration, learning, and connection. Everyone is welcome and the event is free.
