Hi! I’m Missy!

I’m about 2 years old, spayed, fully vaccinated, and packaged in a small fluffy body with a very big personality.

I am sweet, cuddly, silly, and strongly believe personal space is overrated — especially if you’re my person. Speaking of… I tend to bond very deeply with one female human in the home and can become protective of her, particularly around males. Because of this, I need an adopter who understands dog behaviour, is patient, willing to continue training, and appreciates that trust, boundaries, and structure are important for little dogs too.

I’m not a “perfect right out of the box” dog — I’m more of a “some assembly required, but worth it” kind of girl.

I love being wherever my human is going and make a great little sidekick. Car ride? Count me in. Errands? Adventure! Couch supervision? My specialty. When I can’t come along, I am kennel trained and settle well in my crate.

I should also mention… I have a slight hobby involving garbage. Some may call it “counter surfing adjacent.” I call it treasure hunting. If tempting trash exists and I’m unsupervised, there’s a good chance I’ll conduct an investigation. Management and supervision are important for my continued success in this area. 😅

I’m looking for a calm, patient home that will help me continue learning confidence, manners, and how to make good choices. I thrive with consistency, kindness, and humans who understand that small dogs can have big feelings.

Because my protective tendencies can be unpredictable at times, I am not suited for a home with small children or a home where children visit frequently.

My ideal family will see my potential, respect my quirks, and be committed to helping me become the best version of myself. I do get along with other dogs my foster home has 2, but sometimes my big personality gets in the way of manners so I require a little supervision while I sort my feelings out.

Do you need mouse control?
We are on the hunt again for safe places for truly feral cats!
There are 16 adult cats that are not suitable for any other type of life as this is all they know and people are scary to them.
The cats are all spayed/neutered, vaccinated and need a warm, safe place to hunt mice, have access to clean water and supplementary food put out for them.

Available for adoption in Invermere BC

Small Fry has made incredible strides during her time in foster the last month and has truly blossomed into a loving, playful, and affectionate young cat. While she was once timid when many people were around or standing over here, she has grown so much in confidence. Loud noises and everyday activity no longer send her running the way they used to, and she’s become much more relaxed and curious in her environment.
Once she feels safe, she is an absolute sweetheart. She loves following her people from room to room, and curling up nearby for cuddles and naps - especially in the evening. She enjoys chin scratches, full body and belly rubs, and spending time close to her people. She also loves playtime, whether she’s chasing toys, using her scratching post, or chittering excitedly at birds through the window.
She may still need a little time to adjust to a brand-new environment, but with patience and consistency she should settle in beautifully within a few days. She thrives on companionship and would likely do best in a home where someone is around often to keep her company and continue building her confidence.
She has come such a long way from the kitten who spent all her time hiding, and it’s been wonderful watching her personality emerge. She remains a petite girl with the softest glossy black coat and light green eyes. She is tidy, litter trained, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Ever wanted to use your RVT powers for high-volume spay/neuter wizardry? ✨🩺

Wellllll… Frog Lake First Nation is calling. 🐾

From May 22–24, the Canadian Animal Task Force will once again be transforming an arena into a full-scale temporary veterinary clinic — and we need more RVTs to help make the magic happen. 🪄

This is the kind of weekend where your skills truly become superpowers:

✨ Monitoring anesthesia
✨ Supporting surgery flow
✨ Catching the tiny things before they become big things
✨ Comforting nervous patients
✨ Keeping the organized chaos moving
✨ Somehow functioning on snacks, teamwork, and determination

These clinics are fast-paced, collaborative, exhausting, rewarding, and deeply impactful. You’ll work alongside experienced veterinary professionals, incredible volunteers, and community members all coming together to help hundreds of animals access care.

And honestly? There’s just something special about it.

All Adopted!

In order of photos posted: Boots(male-adopted), Maybelline(female-adopted) and Marvin (male-adopted) )are all sweet, playful and easy going kittens that are looking for their forever homes!
They were born Feb 16th and have only been indoors. Their momma was just spayed yesterday and will also be posted for adoption soon.
These kittens have been around other cats, dogs and young children and are good with everything. They have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for ear mites and microchipped.

Allbee is a wonderful puppy. She is outgoing and happy to follow her person around. She is the first to check on newly arrived people and less interested in a long snuggle. She is well socialized with adults, children and the dog in the foster home. No exposure to cats. She can be very vocal. Allbee has an all black coat that looks to be heading towards long. Her mother was a red coloured goldendoodle, father unknown. Adopters should be prepared for grooming and shedding. Adult size will be unknown but Allbee is currently in the ten pound range at eight weeks.

Twosie is a sweet puppy. She is social, energetic and likes to snuggle. She tends to look for comfort from her person if things get crazy, preferring to watch the activity. She is also ready for a good romp with her littermates and plays fair. She is well socialized with adults, children and the dog in the foster home. No exposure to cats. Twosie has a black coat, a white stripe on her chest and two white back paws. Her coat is starting to get wavy. Her mother was a red coloured goldendoodle, father unknown. Adopters should be prepared for grooming and shedding. Adult size will be unknown but Twosie is currently in the nine pound range at eight weeks.
