This spring, the 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟳-𝟭𝟮 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 & 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 returned to Morrin School for its 4th installment. From March to May, students are invited to attend mini workshops during the lunch hour, during which local agencies come into the school & provide information in a hands-on format. Topics are selected based on student interest.
This year, students participated in three workshops:
🟢 𝗘-𝗖𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝘀 & 𝗩𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴: Co-facilitated by Trina Macfarlane & Martin McSween, (Addiction Counsellors/Certified To***co Educators from Recovery Alberta - Community Addiction & Mental Health)
🟢 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀: Co-facilitated by Julia Davis (RN) & Cst. Victor Iliescu (Drumheller RCMP), our local Regional Police and Crisis Team (RPACT)
🟢 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Co-facilitated by Lexia Acorn & Sean Tutanes (Banking Advisors from Drumheller Royal Bank) & Cst. Dan Clarry (Drumheller RCMP)
Thank you to our community partners who continue to show up each year to support this program in our school, and to build these connections with our students.
