Cleavers First meeting

Our first meeting back and our cleavers dove into the world of apiculture (honey beekeeping)! They learned about the importance of pollination to agriculture, the different castes of bees (queens, drones & workers) as well as their lifecycle stages. The cleavers completed their night by making beeswax candles decorated with dried flower petals. Thank you to 4-H dad Clay Williams for bringing in an observation hive full of live bees for the kids to look at and sharing his apiary knowledge with our club.

Hanna club alongside Youngstown club came all three days to the Hanna rodeo and volunteered helping put on bracelets, selling raffle tickets, selling flyers, and working at the concession and anything else that was asked of them. We thank all the members and their parents that came out and helped. We are very proud of you all for helping in your community. 🥰

Congratulations Rexstin on your achievement. Way to go 🎉
Rexstin and Klyde you both have done so well with your provincial projects.
Taken from from their post as well as pictures.

🍀The Griffith’s are finally done 4H for the year!!! 🍀

Today we attended the Provincial Steer and Lamb Carcass Results in Lacombe.

It’s a pretty exciting day as Rexstin brought home Reserve Champion Carcass Steer for the Province!
As a cattle producer that is a very special achievement and something we are definitely proud of ❤️
Rexy’s steer was out of purebred Charolais cow and Purebred Simmental Bull from Camden Farms.
We are so incredibly proud of the bulls we are able to source locally 🤗

Thank you to all the sponsors and volunteers for making these programs the success they are!!
