Look at how much our H.A.C. Community Garden has grown! 🥒🌶️🍅🧅

These thriving vegetables are all thanks to the incredible generosity of Next Level Gardens, who made a large donation of vegetable seedlings to help bring our garden to life!

Located at Wildwood Art Gallery & Studio (24 Winnett St. N., Cayuga), Next Level Gardens is helping grow more than just vegetables—they're helping grow a stronger, healthier community. Be sure to check them out!🤍

Thank you for your generosity and for supporting local organizations like ours!

Our community garden is here for everyone. As our vegetables continue to ripen, community members are invited to stop by and pick what they need. Whether it's a tomato for tonight's dinner, or a few peppers, we hope our garden can help nourish our neighbours while bringing people together through the joy of gardening. 🌿🍅

Thank you, Next Level Gardens, for helping our community grow—one seedling at a time! 🌱

The support we offer a person who is grieving can have an immense impact on all aspects of their health and wellbeing, but what is it to grieve? And how can we support someone who are grieving?

Join us on Wednesday August 26th from 12 -1 for a Lunch and Learn with Julie Coulson, Grief and Bereavement Program Coordinator with Senior Support Services. Julie will be speaking about how we can support others through their grieving journey.

July is Disability Pride Month!

This month is a time to celebrate the strength, resilience, and unique experiences of people living with disabilities. Disability is a natural part of human diversity, and Disability Pride Month reminds us that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, respected, and included.

Did you know that 1 in 4 Canadians lives with at least one disability? While some disabilities are visible, many are invisible—and every person's experience is different. A little kindness, understanding, and accessibility can go a long way in creating communities where everyone can thrive.

At the H.A.C., we're proud to foster welcoming, accessible programs where people of all abilities can connect, learn, and participate. We recognize the importance of creating programs and spaces that are welcoming and accessible to all. This means continuing to listen, learn, and adapt in order to reduce barriers and support full participation in community life. We are committed to fostering an environment where people of all abilities feel valued, respected, and included - not just in July, but every day.
