Dear Friends,
After 24 years of serving the children, youth, families, volunteers, and supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sudbury, I will be taking a temporary Compassionate Care leave as of Friday May 15th, to care for my mother during a difficult time for our family.
This decision was not made lightly, as Big Brothers Big Sisters has been such an important part of my life and purpose for more than two decades. However, family must come first during this chapter.
During my leave, Lisa McCallum will serve as Interim Executive Director and will continue leading the agency’s day-to-day operations alongside our incredible team and Board of Directors. Lisa has been a dedicated and valued part of our organization, and I have full confidence in her leadership and commitment to the children and youth we serve.
While stepping away from daily operations, I will continue to remain involved in an advisory capacity to support the organization during this transition until my return.
For over 54 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sudbury has helped ignite the power and potential of young people through mentoring, connection, and community support. I know this important work will continue strongly because of the incredible staff, volunteers, partners, and community members who believe in our mission.
