The Commonwealth Karate Championships return in 2026 as athletes, coaches and officials from across the Commonwealth gather in Glasgow, Scotland for four days of world-class competition.

Hosted at the Glasgow International Arena from 5th–8th November 2026, the event will showcase elite kata and kumite, cultural unity through sport, and the highest standards of international karate.

Organised in partnership with recognised governing bodies, this championship celebrates excellence, respect, discipline and global friendship.

We are proud to launch the official online page for one of the most prestigious events in the WKF international karate calendar.

The 12th Commonwealth Karate Championships is officially sanctioned by the Commonwealth Karate Federation (CKF), the World karate Federation (WKF) and hosted by Karate Scotland the official NGB for Karate in Scotland.

Entry is open to affiliated WKF member federations through the appropriate Commonwealth national governing body channels.

We are very grateful for the interest so far in the upcoming 12th Commonwealth Karate Federation championships to be held in Glasgow, Scotland in November.
Please note that you must read the information that is posted online either here or through sport data etc. Your club must be a member of the WKF recognized national Federation in your country.
Note that the elite event is open to national team members only as appointed by your national Federation. The club event is open to all members of the Commonwealth, who are affiliated through the national Federation of your country.
Please, those who are sending private messages to ask that we WhatsApp email or otherwise deliver the material to their personal inbox is not possible. Instead, simply read the material that is posted and continue to monitor the Facebook site and sport data. Also, please communicate with your national Federation.
