CW Pride is excited to invite 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and allies ages 8–13 to join us for Out Loud: Art Your Way, a free six-week creative art program! Sponsored by the Fergus-Elora Rotary Club.

This program is a welcoming and inclusive space where young people can create, explore new art techniques, make friends, and express themselves in their own unique way. No previous art experience is needed—just come ready to have fun and get creative!

🎨 What: Out Loud: Art Your Way
📅 When: Saturdays, October 10 – November 14 (no class on Halloween)
⏰ Time: 10:00–11:30 a.m.
📍 Where: Sparrow’s Nest, Elora Centre for the Arts Building (75 Melville St. Elora).
👧 Ages: 8–13
💜 Cost: Free!

Over the six weeks, youth will explore a variety of creative projects, including painting, drawing, clay, magnets, anime character creation, and more. Come learn how to create an anime character, be creative, and draw or paint in your own style! Each project gives participants a chance to try something new while making something they can be proud of.

Space is limited, so registration is required.

Link in bio to register!!!

If you have questions or would like more information, please email Angela at [email protected].

Please feel free to share this with families, youth, schools, community organizations, and anyone who may be interested. We would love to see this program reach as many young people as possible!

We can’t wait to create with you! 🌈🎨

CW Pride made the paper! 🗞️

“ABOVE RIGHT: Métis Elder Diane Kilby, right, and her spouse Jan Baker. Kilby shared opening and closing remarks and prayers during Pride, including mention of a recent incident in Cambridge where a trans teenager giving a speech during a Pride event was interrupted by the mayor. She said it was important to mention because it takes a lot of courage for a teenager to figure out who they are and talk about harms done to your community, only to have the microphone taken away.”

We stand with Sophie Mills and all the q***r youth whose voices should never be silenced. You are not alone and we are so proud of you.

Thank you to the The Wellington Advertiser for publishing this important message as well as all the beautiful moments from our Pride celebration. Pride is political, it is authenticity, it is grief and it is joy. We appreciate the full coverage of our community.
