Muttstock is dedicated to tackling animal overpopulation through birth control implants — a humane, effective alternative that helps reduce shelter stress and supports healthier communities for pets and people alike. Muttstock is a non-profit organization based in Edmonton, Alberta, working to reduce free-roaming animal populations in Indigenous and underserved communities through humane, science-
backed solutions. By preventing unwanted litters, we aim to ease the strain on local rescues, improve animal welfare, and support public safety in areas most impacted by overpopulation. Founded in 2015, Muttstock began as a community festival and has since evolved into a grassroots movement dedicated to prevention, education, and long-term impact. We continue to raise funds through community BBQs, raffles, vendor partnerships, and donation-based services like nail trims — all to expand access to this vital care.
