We’re loving this September sunshine at Qwanoes! 🔆🌊

This afternoon, Surrey Christian high school students and teachers made the most of Qwanoes Beach… floating with friends by the Beach Port, paddling giant SUPs, lounging on the dock and simply enjoying some time together by the water.

A look behind the scenes… Today was Aqua-Park takedown day, and we had two former Waterfront Leaders back on the crew to help bring it in!

This summer, thousands of kids enjoyed the Aqua-Park at Qwanoes… a giant inflatable playground right on the Pacific. From the brand-new Pontoon Pillow and Giant Runway to favourites like Slide Mountain, Super Slide, Super Totter, Cyclone and Moonwalk, there was no shortage of fun!

But the fun doesn’t just happen. It takes a dedicated team to install, maintain, monitor and eventually take down the Aqua-Park each year. We’re incredibly thankful for everyone who has played a part in making these summer memories possible… this year and over the years. 💙

🍂 There’s something special about fall at Qwanoes.

These photos from last fall have us looking forward to the months ahead… re.group retreats, the Island Youth Worker Conference, Women’s Retreat, LiftOff Mainland, Men’s Retreat, and so much more!

And we’re already getting started. Today we welcomed our new 2026/27 Kaléo students for their first day, hosted Grades 9–11 students from Richmond Christian School for a retreat, and welcomed the Valley Church Duncan Youth Group for their fall launch.

We’re excited for another season of fun and adventure, life in community, learning, serving and making space for God to work. 🍁

Who else is missing summer today? 🥹 We’re so thankful for every camper, staff member, family, and friend who helped make Summer 2026 so special. More than anything, we’re grateful for all the ways God was at work throughout the season. ❤️

What a summer! What a way to celebrate 60 years of Camp Qwanoes! 🎉

More than 4,600 campers - our largest summer ever! Plus 229 high school students taking part in our summer youth leadership programs.

Together, we experienced:
🏕️ 10 summer camps
🌊 5 SeaQuest camps
👣 8 Step-Out sessions
🙌 2 CIT sessions
🏡 1 Summer Family Retreat
🎉 Our 60th Anniversary Open House

And behind it all was an incredible staff team from right here on Vancouver Island and Greater Vancouver and from around the world.

Countless lives changed. Countless memories made. And so many reasons to be grateful.

Thank you to everyone who was part of Qwanoes this summer - from our campers, youth leadership participants, and staff, to our huge prayer team, supporters, partner churches, suppliers, and special guests. Every one of you played a part in making this summer unforgettable.

We’re so grateful for the part you played in celebrating 60 years of Camp Qwanoes with us. The numbers tell one story. The lives changed tell an even greater one. Here’s to a future full of possibility! ❤️
