So looks like start location will again be the Haida-Way restaurant in Chemainus and the ride will end at the Toyota dealership off of Bowen Rd where food trucks will be available - Year 5 y'all, can you believe it? Hi All! Hope everyone is doing well...!

Ok, so I screwed up; I have 7 people who indicted that they wanted tax receipts for the $20 Ride "donation" ; I submitted them to the Legion but was told I missed the cut off date of December 31st.. am SO sorry!!! I didn't know so for 2025 those 7 won't have a receipt. I Promise you for 2026 I Won't make that same mistake and get the names in Early... so once again I Apologize!!! Sat Aug 29th; dates are weird next year and the following weekend is the long weekend & we felt people would want to do the last camping trip etc so end of August it is... Hi y'all!!! I want to Thank Everyone who came out the Ride this year; final amount raised was $5004 with a check going to Veterans House Victoria for $4800! (Expenses for my fuel and posters were $206, receipts are with the accountants)
SO: Thank You to:
-Haida-Way Restaurant for their space
-DBL for the portapotties and Sean for delivering them on his own time
-Yukon/Legion Command for paying for the Event insurance & who will be issuing all the tax receipts
- Top Drawer (Nevin) for getting all the merch printed up; for the Veterans Farmer and the $1000 Donation, which made getting the merch possible and Dave from Veterans MC Duncan for making the call
-the Commandos for hosting the spaghetti dinner & their $1000 donation... their presence and donation was HUGE and we appreciate it
-to all the Food Trucks that came
- to all the Volunteers: my son Cole and Madison, my mom Tina and sister Elaina, Aunt Eialeen and cousin Thea, Vanessa, Camden and.. sorry! I forgot his name who helped with the 50/50 ( which BTW was $322 so the fellow got $161).. Eialeen from Victoria, my friend Dave, and to my hubby Rick for having that sign made up and all his help; to the bagpiper who made this Run even More special, to Alastair MacGreggor who popped in to say Hi and support us and finally to the Iron Order for their help in organizing the physical ride route and leading (if I've forgotten anyone I'm Sorry!!)

Count was 170 bikes and am praying that the 5th annual next September is just as much Fun as it was this year.

On a final note, I was done with pomp and circumstance and just wanted the House to have the funds so I rode down to Mill Bay and met Terri at McDonald's and gave her the draft... as riders we show up for what's important and I thank Everyone who showed up to support our Vets and the House... Dave and Terri are Amazing people and the House has a Continual need for support so please do so if able.. Our Vets are Everything & NO ONE Gets left behind or Fights Alone.. till next year! So I want to say Thank You to The Veterans Farmer who Just donated $1000, which enabled me to order more merch and to Costco for the $500 which helped with expenses....

To Everyone who can Volunteer, I'm down 2 people so if you can please help, please come to the registration table for 9 am....

Food Trucks ARE coming this year 😄 I have 4 confirmed; they'll be parked next door at the Antique store so it's a minor walk over there but that leaves Way more room for All the bikes in the Haida-Way parking lot...

Volunteers are still needed for the Merch table so please PM if interested...

Sept 6th, meeting at the Haida-Way Restaurant again in Chemainus, riding through the Valley then Back to the Haida-Way for the BBQ... representatives from the former Cockrell House, now named the Victoria Veterans House will be there and helping with the event...
