Purple Hills Arts and Heritage Society is committed to ensuring that our arts community is vibrant and our local history is kept alive. Our programs include publishing local histories, heritage lectures, art instruction for children and adults, walking tours, scholarships for students and a range of events that bring the community together. Our annual Arts Festival is one of the highlights of the

area’s fall season. Community Based and Community Run

We have a volunteer board and rely on membership fees and sponsorships from local business to fund our initiatives. All the money we receive goes towards the programs that make our community a more interesting and engaging place to live. Our Annual General Meeting provides an opportunity for members to stay up to date on the Society’s activities and finances. A Record of Success

Founded in 1977, Purple Hills has been active in the community for over forty years. We have helped fund Creemore’s Station on the Green, the historic Log Cabin and the Historical Plaques that can be found throughout Creemore. Our Artists in the School program provides art instruction to students at the Nottawasaga and Creemore Public School. In 2003 we were granted charitable status so you receive a tax receipt for your membership fees and sponsorship dollars. Get Involved

Purple Hills is a great way to meet your neighbours especially if you are new to the area it is great way to introduce yourself. Become a member, volunteer at functions, or simply attend our events. We always need people to help out and when you do you are supporting your community.

We’re rolling out the red carpet one last time this season (until we return in September) 🎬

Join us this Friday for a special night at the movies in the heart of Creemore. With only a few tickets remaining, you won’t want to miss your last chance to enjoy the magic of the big screen in our little village until Fall. Grab some popcorn, candy, wine or beer, settle into your seat, and enjoy an evening that’s become a favourite community tradition.

We’re so excited to be bringing back the Makers’ Market at this year’s Creemore Arts Fest! 🎨✨

We’ll be taking over the on October 4th with 30+ incredible makers - packed with handmade goods, local talent and all the creative energy you can imagine. If you’re a maker, this is your sign. We’d love to have you join us!

🎨 Final Call for Artists 🎨

May 10 is the last day to sign up for the Artists on Location experience at Creemore Arts Fest!

Returning October 3 & 4, Arts Fest is a chance to create and showcase your work right in the heart of the community - connecting with visitors, sharing your process and bringing Creemore’s streets and spaces to life through art.

All mediums are welcome. Whether you paint, sculpt, weave, carve, photograph or create in your own unique way, we’d love to have you be part of it.

Spring creativity is in full bloom… and we’re giving you a little more time 🎨

The deadline to submit your canvas for the 10×10 Art Show has been extended! Drop off your piece by Tuesday at 4pm at the Creemore Echo. The show runs April 24–May 3 at .

Whether you’re adding final touches or just getting started, there’s still time to jump in and be part of it.
Expect walls filled with one-of-a-kind pieces, all created by your neighbours, friends and local artists. It’s creativity, connection and plenty of inspiration all in one space! Don’t miss it 💫

We’re looking for artists to apply to this year’s Creemore Arts Fest, happening October 3 & 4.

Take over the village with pop-up galleries in shops, cafés and unexpected spaces, all surrounded by a community that truly shows up for local art. It’s a weekend of creativity, connection and sharing your work in a setting that feels as good as it looks.

The first batch of canvases for the 10x10 Creemore Art Show went fast so we’ve got more on the way - available at starting Tuesday! Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just trying something new, all levels are welcome.
