Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation The GRPF is a non-profit that is working with the Government of Alberta to provide infrastructure and programming at Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park.

GRPF looks after the Visitor Information Centre at Glenbow Ranch. Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park protects 3,246 acres, most of which are Foothills Fescue Grasslands. This is one of the province’s most modified and fragmented, and least protected ecosystems.

Some of the best wildlife encounters happen when we slow down and take a closer look.

Birds can be found throughout Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park, moving through the landscape in ways that often go unnoticed. Upcoming Event🤠

Join us at Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park for a day of family-friendly fun as we celebrate Stampede season with our Stampede BBQ!

Spend the day exploring the park, connecting with local organizations, and enjoying a variety of activities for visitors of all ages. From face painting and glitter tattoos to outdoor games and special guests, there will be plenty to see and do throughout the day.

Food and refreshments will also be available, with BBQ vouchers available for purchase on-site. Face painting and glitter tattoos will be offered for a small fee, while visitors are welcome to attend and enjoy the festivities, whether participating in activities or simply spending time in the park.

The event will take place on July 11, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM at the Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park.

No registration is required. Bring your family and friends and join us for a fun day celebrating summer, community, and the spirit of Stampede season.

Trail Update❗️

Temporary trail closures will be in effect as cattle management activities take place within Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park.

As a living, working landscape, periodic cattle movement and management are an important part of maintaining the health of the herd and supporting the stewardship of the park's native grasslands. During this time, some areas of the park will be temporarily inaccessible to ensure the safety of both visitors and livestock.

Please plan ahead and used designated routes for alternate paths.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue to balance recreation, conservation, and ranching within the park.

At Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park, the landscape tells many stories at once.

Across the valley, traces of Alberta's ranching history remain alongside the continued movement of trains through the Bow Valley corridor. Historic structures, working pastures, and rail lines each represent different chapters in the history of this landscape and the people who have shaped it over time.

Today, these elements coexist within the park, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience the connections among history, land use, and the natural beauty of the foothills.
