Due to a scheduling conflict, the June Executive and General meeting will be held on Tuesday June 16th instead of Monday the 15th. Time still remains 6:30 for the Executive meeting and 7 pm for the General meeting. This will be the last General meeting until September.

First cook for Friday's Chicken BBQ is sold out. There are still a few orders available for the 6:30 cook. Call the Legion to order at 448-1997.

Deadline for Zone Washer Toss is Friday. Still room available for teams and singles play.

Deadline for Zone Golf is tomorrow. Still need a Senior or Super Senior golfer to complete our last team for the tournament on June 6th. For those already registered, cost is $40 per person payable at the Legion if you haven't already paid.

Thank you everyone that joined us in the Homes for Heroes second annual dart tournament. It was a great success we raised over 10,000.00 dollars.

We could not have done this without so many people. First and foremost, Paul Awalt (he ran the entire dart tournament), Kim Bell, who showed up in strength to help set up, clean the day of, get sponsors, Todd Malo who actually got the biggest donation amongst others, and Melony Malo who is Paul's partner in crime.

The biggest impact was through our own community with incredible donations, sponsorships and assistance from Dartmart, WestJet, Rideau Auctions, Sand Lake campgrounds, Jacksons Ridge cottage,, Yuk yuks, cosmo adventures, the black bears, the legion itself for donating the hall, the many, many, many community members and local businesses for donating and supporting and of course all of our volunteers.

Special thanks to Judy Backs, Gill Yendal and Paul Valley for being so generous. And of course none of this would happen without Paul Awalt.
