Meet Styx! 🐾
Styx is a beautiful Havanese boy who has been in our care since he was a tiny newborn baby. Born with a cleft palate, he required around-the-clock tube feeding every two hours to help him survive and grow strong enough for surgery. He has been deeply loved and cared for every step of the way.
Thanks to the dedication of his foster family and veterinary team, Styx successfully underwent cleft palate surgery and later surgery on his back leg for a luxating patella. At one point, we believed both legs may require repair, but Styx has done AMAZING with only one side repaired and is now officially ready to find his forever family. ❤️
Styx is a sweet, gentle little guy who can be shy when first meeting new people. Once he feels safe and learns to trust you, he becomes the most loyal and affectionate companion. He absolutely loves cuddling beside his person, giving kisses, collecting stuffies, and staying close to the humans he loves most.
He enjoys short walks, exploring the yard, treats of any kind, and quiet time snuggled up on the couch. Styx is p*e pad trained and is continuing to build confidence with outdoor potty breaks.
Because he can be startled by loud noises or sudden movements, Styx would do best in a calm home with older respectful children who understand his gentle personality.
This little boy has overcome so much in his life already and deserves a family who will cherish him forever. In return, he will give unconditional love and endless devotion.
