🐾 We Need Your Help to Keep Saying Yes 🐾

The past few months have been incredibly difficult for Fur‑Ever Able. Life became complicated behind the scenes, and for a while our posts slowed down while I focused on caring for the puppies already with us and navigating changes in my personal life.

Even when we were quiet, the work never stopped—and now we’re doing everything we can to keep moving forward.

We are contacted almost daily about vulnerable newborn and special-needs puppies needing somewhere safe to go. Unfortunately, I’ve had to turn away far too many—not because we don’t care, but because love alone cannot cover formula, veterinary care, medication and supplies.

Many of our wonderful supporters once made weekly or monthly donations. If you’re able to begin again—or would like to become a new supporter—we truly need you. Even a small recurring donation can make a meaningful difference and help us say yes to the next puppy who needs us.

We’re back, we’re working hard, and we still believe deeply in this mission. We simply cannot continue doing it alone.

❤️ CHARLES IS READY FOR ADOPTION ❤️

This is an incredibly difficult post for me to write because Charles has been part of our family since he was a newborn.

Charles came into our care with a cleft palate and had to be tube-fed. Now, he is just days away from celebrating his first birthday! His soft palate has been fully repaired, while his hard palate has closed together and does not require repair. His dental work is complete, he has been neutered, and he is up to date on his vaccinations.

Charles may be tiny, but that has never stopped him! He is playful, incredibly affectionate, and so much fun. He loves curling up in bed with his person and would happily travel with you to the ends of the earth.

Charles also has alopecia, which means he has very little hair on his body—but that doesn’t slow him down or change the wonderful little dog he is. Charles isn’t your typical pup. He is a fighter who is deeply loved by so many, and he deserves the most incredible forever family.

🌈 In Loving Memory of Freddy 🌈

We are heartbroken to share that Freddy, one of the special dogs we had the privilege of bringing to safety through our rescue, has suddenly passed away.

Freddy was a beautiful, happy boy who loved cuddling on the couch, giving belly rubs, stealing socks to start a chase and proudly carrying the biggest sticks he could find. He was a wonderful study buddy, a little chatterbox and always seemed to know when someone needed his company. He greeted his family at the gate with his favourite toy every time they came home—even if they had only been gone for a short while.

Freddy shared countless adventures with his family and filled their lives with love, laughter and meaning. His sudden loss has left them heartbroken and wishing for more time.

Rest peacefully, beautiful Freddy. You were deeply loved and will never be forgotten. 🐾❤️

🐾 PLEASE WELCOME FREYA 🐾

This beautiful little girl will soon be joining us at Fur-Ever Able. 💕

Freya is a young Shepherd-cross puppy who appears to be blind and is suspected to have hydrocephalus. We won’t know exactly what is happening—or what her future care may involve—until she has been fully assessed by our veterinary team.

What we already know is that Freya is remarkable.

Her current family describes her as strong, brave, loving and absolutely unstoppable. She follows familiar voices, trusts her person to guide her and communicates when she needs a break. She plays with the other puppies and has already been introduced to dogs, cats, kittens and even sheep! She is learning to navigate the world with so much grace and determination that you would hardly know she cannot see.

Her name comes from the Norse goddess of both love and battle—and it couldn’t suit her more.

🏡 WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FOSTER

Freya will need a safe, patient and loving foster home willing to help her learn, grow and attend her veterinary appointments. If you may be interested in fostering this very special girl, please complete our foster application at www.fureverable.com.

🫣UPDATE🕒I went to visit my little friend Wrigley today. ❤️ Wrigley is one of our Fur-Ever Able puppies, and it was so special to hold him and watch him simply relax and enjoy being a beloved pet.

Wrigley is also one of the puppies who has benefited from fundraisers like the $500 raffle we’re hosting tonight. Unfortunately, we still haven’t sold enough tickets to make the raffle possible.

We really need our community’s help! Unfortunately, participation in our $500 cash raffle has been much lower than we hoped.

If we don’t sell enough additional tickets, we may have no choice but to cancel the raffle and fully refund everyone who has already entered—and we truly don’t want to do that!
