Good morning and happy 420 everyone.
It was a cold windy start to the day; but at least it wasn’t raining; so there’s that to be thankful for.
Susan had to work today, so I was out here by myself making Mondays the best day of the week in Halifax.
This weeks kits were filled with goodies. There was extra w**d, a full book of papers as well as a few extra donated goodies that were purchased from the NSLC. There were CBD sublingual strips and extra gummies on top of all the regular goodies.
Everyone was thrilled.

Sadly; I just learned of the passing of a cannabis legend. Marco Renda; the founder of Treating Yourself magazine. I never got the chance to meet him personally; we spoke occasionally and I had a lot of respect for all his hard work in educating and supporting patients looking to use cannabis as medicine.
You will be missed my friend.

To anyone that missed out getting their kit today; I’m sorry. I went through 200+ kits by 9:15 this morning. It always bothers me to run out early, but the need is greater than what I can do alone. I only hope everyone understands this.

Many thanks to:

-Canadian Lumber
-Cuthberts Tinctures and Creams
-Cole Harbour Medical Services
-Frckn’ Delicious DIY Gummies

We couldn’t do this without your support. 💚

Good morning folks. Chris here with hat in hand again. 🎩🫴

We are in real need of help.

We need funds and we need folks.
Since my last amazing volunteer of the last 3 years has moved on to a paying job (I can’t blame him for that) I’m down to doing everything myself again, and it’s just too much. Recent surgeries and my personal health have really affected my own personal usefullness. There are just not enough hours in the day, and not enough good days in a week for me to continue like this. If something doesn’t change soon, kit sizes and/or numbers will have to be adjusted accordingly.

Besides the 150-200 people we help each week; we are currently supporting 2 women’s shelters; one for over 2 years, and a new one we just recently connected with. These have become our priority, as it means the kits we pass out are going to people, actually in treatment, and struggling with addiction. This is not to say the people in our line don’t need this as well, it just means these ladies are monitored and their progress noted. I really feel it goes a long way in changing the minds/attitudes of the people/workers/nurses that are helping these ladies with their progress. We, and that means everyone who has supported us, have made a real difference in their lives.
Thank you.

Over the last 5 years however; support for the CSP has waned. This is understandable in today’s economy. Things are tight for everyone. Everything is more expensive, and people just have less money.
I understand.
But something has to change.
We currently have a donation jar, a go fund me page, and we are/have set up an auction page that will get rolling one we have enough items to begin with. So if you have any new/like new items that you figure someone would just love to have; contact me for pick up and our thanks and appreciation. It means a lot to so many.

I’m also hoping I can find a volunteer or two to assist in kit building and or baking.
Anyone interested I. Helping out should contact me with details and any questions they may have.
Be part of a team that’s saving lives every week.

Thanks for your time and your help.
