Canada's 131,000 km snowmobile trail network supports 1.5 million riders, 66,000 jobs, and $20.6 billion in annual economic activity, yet winter trails are excluded from federal infrastructure and climate funding. Bridges, culverts, and groomers across the country are more than 25 years old and failing.
CCSO is asking the federal government to create a dedicated trail infrastructure fund and to make winter trails eligible under programs like the Build Communities Strong Fund.
