A huge thank you to Retrofest Chatham for inviting the Blenheim Youth Centre to be a part of this year’s event and for their generous donation in support of local youth. Our youth had a great time being apart of the Kid Zone activities.

Opportunities like this are incredibly important. They give young people the chance to connect with their community, build confidence, and develop leadership skills.

At the BYC, we beleive youth should be active participants in community events, not just spectators. When young people are empowered to contribute, everyone benefits.

Thank you to the Reteofest committee, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who stopped to support us. We look forward to being apart of future events.

Jaimie Bonnell was more than just a daughter and a sister. She was a great friend and a role model to those around her. Jaimie lived a life to be remembered and before her tragic death, she was on the path towards great things. She was a talented athlete, dedicated student, and hard working employee. She was a member of our youth centre and we loved seeing her smiling face whenever she walked through the door. Jaimie's spirit lives on in her absence and her parents made a commitment to continue her legacy by supporting the BYC. This Co****le Tournament is held yearly to honour Jaimie and the truly beautiful person she is, inside and out. Proceeds from this event are used directly to provide youth programming at the BYC. The event takes place this coming Saturday, June 20, and we would love to have you put together a team or come check it out and support the players.

You can reach out to Dave directly for more information or to put in a team- [email protected]

We hope to see you there!!!

Our friends at Salus Mutual Insurance Company recently stopped by and donated a wide assortment of fresh and boxed food items for our teen meal program. The photo shows just a few of the items we graciously received.

Their organization understands the need many individuals and families have during a time of food insecurity. They created an event that required staff to build a structure from donated canned goods called the CanStruction Challenge. The items received during their challenge were donated to local charities and we were excited to be chosen as one of these charities.

The efforts and generosity of their employees and those that created this fun and meaningful event reflects their values as a mutual as well as their commitment to supporting our local community.

We are grateful 🫶🏼
