Today I had the chance to present a CTA gold medal to a man I credit with saving my life. Thank you Dr Struthers, I'm forever grateful that you came into my life!

Today, on World Organ Donation Day, we recognize the incredible gift of organ donation and honour the donors and families whose generosity has given others a second chance at life.

We also celebrate transplant recipients, the healthcare professionals who make transplantation possible, and everyone who helps keep the conversation about organ donation going.

The showed us just how powerful one decision can be. Logan’s decision to be an organ donor inspired thousands of Canadians to register, start conversations with their families and make a decision that could one day save lives.

On July 14th 99.3 Country FM gave us a chance to talk about our group and the need for everyone to sign up as organ donors.
Please take a listen and have conversations with your family and friends on the need to sign up and if you have make sure they know your intentions.

Henry Moelker (one of our founding members) quietly passed away this morning surrounded by family after a lengthy struggle.
Henry had a life full of medical issues including diabetic comas, Graves’ disease, partial foot amputation, pancreas and kidney transplants among other traumas.
Our group has not known anyone that’s been through so much yet remain such a positive influence. No matter how heavy a conversation may have been Henry always brought levity to it with his endless sense of humour.
It’s our honor to have had the chance to know Henry, he will be dearly missed.
Rest in peace my friend. ❤️💚

Another great day of spreading the word on organ donation. Unfortunately tomorrow is canceled due to the expected rain all day.
