The Hall Society is a non-profit organization registered under the Societies Act of the Alberta Corporate Registry.

It was formed to manage the funds which are derived from the donation of bottles/cans left by White Sands residents.

Thank you so very much to all the volunteers who helped with setup and clean up, putting out potato bar, bartending, cooking briskets, playing music bingo and just being fantastic neighbours!
It was a great day and events like this make it great to be apart of this community!

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!!!

We need some volunteers for the Brisket Cookoff/Music Bingo August 29th.
Ticket sellers-2 to 4, 4 to 6, 6 to 8
Bartenders 2 to 4, 4 to 6, 6 to 8
Potato Bar 6 to 7 set up and take down
Clean up 7:30 to finish.

Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament

Saturday, August 22

7:00 p.m. at the White Sands Community Hall

All White Sands residents over the
age of 18 are welcome to attend.

White Sands residents can bring guests who are visiting.
Great way to meet people in the Village.
Bring your own beverages.

Buy in is $20 and rebuys are allowed through the first 4 levels.

Each level is 20 minutes.

Drop ins are welcome, but if we don’t get sufficient players
Registered before the tournament, it will be cancelled.

Music Bingo: 2 to 6 pm – Multi purpose area
4 games of Bingo for $20 dollars – 50% to hall society rest in prizes
Bring your own lawn chair
Beer and coolers available $5/drink
Water and pop - $1/drink

Brisket details
5 lb minimum brisket cut into pieces for tasting
Register with Andy Teslia at 403-597-5186 or [email protected] by August 27th.
Arrive at hall in your own container at 5 to 5:30 pm. Can be in a roaster, slow cooker or cold.
Check off allergy cards (provided) dairy, wheat, corn, tomatoes and tree nuts (read your spice ingredients)
Professional judging by registered Kansas City BBQ judges between 5:30 and 6 pm (If brisket not there by 5:30 will not be in entered in cookoff)
Doors open for public tasting and People’s choice at 6 pm
Potato Bar (Max - 200 people)
7 pm, Judges choice and People’s choice prizes and Brisket Cooking Seminar 15 minutes – open to all
