VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT

Marguerite Clark

I always wanted to give back to the community so I began volunteering with Meals on Wheels in March 2021 and serve as a Dessert Co-ordinator. I really enjoy working with the MOW team – the friendships, laughter and team building.

To anyone considering volunteering I say absolutely give it a try. It would be great to see more young people involved with Meals on Wheels, learning the needs of the community. “Giving back" in a volunteer environment is very rewarding.

Volunteer Spotlight

Roni Lewis

I did a Volunteer Day when I was employed by Tokio Millennium and I loved it. When I retired in 2020 I decided to become a regular volunteer. I now drive and deliver one day a week. The sense of giving back that I get from volunteering is so rewarding – a wonderful feeling.

I’m now working part-time, but when I retire full stop, I plan to volunteer two days a week and
look forward to that. Perhaps the high schools may consider having the students volunteer once a month so they can better appreciate what they have.
