📢 New EAPC White Paper published in Palliative Medicine!

💙 How can we better support family carers in palliative care? And where should future research focus?

We are delighted to share the new EAPC White Paper on research priorities for family caregiving in palliative care, developed with the contribution of the EAPC Reference Group for Family Carers.

Building on the original EAPC White Paper published in 2010, this systematic review of 30 reviews identifies four key priorities for future research:

🔹 Improving research methods to better understand carers' experiences and needs.

🔹 Putting family carers at the centre of research, with particular attention to underserved populations.

🔹 Strengthening research on health systems and support for family carers.

🔹 Better recognising and integrating family carers within healthcare teams.

The paper highlights the importance of equity, inclusive research and stronger support for family carers across different healthcare settings.

👏 A warm congratulations and thank you to Clare Gardiner and all co-authors, as well as the EAPC Reference Group for Family Carers, for their work and commitment to advancing research in this important area.

🇵🇱 **EAPC in Zielona Góra**

Earlier this month, EAPC President **Professor Jeroen Hasselaar** joined the **5th International Zielona Góra Conference on Supportive Care, Palliative Medicine and Pain Management** in Poland.

Jeroen delivered the conference keynote, sharing important guidance and perspectives with colleagues working across supportive and palliative care.
