Dear person living or affected by HIV and AIDS,
Are you still holding up? Are you facing stigma toward your HIV, discrimination or racism? Don't allow it to put you down, actually this useful quote from Anne Frank does help me to overcome many situation like this:
"There's only one rule you need to remember: laugh at everything and forget everybody else! It sounds egotistical, but it's actually the only cure for those suffering from self-pity".
Don't let your troubles consume you! Tell yourself "Hakuna Matata", even when you are hurting! Let it out and use your one rule, LAUGH.

Have you heard of PrEP??? Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), it is a pill that helps prevent contracting HIV during the early days of exposure,it can also be used by anyone who feels unsafe after having unprotected s*x with an infected person
or s*x with a partner whose status is unknown,... Go to your nearest health facilities and enquire more information about it...

If you need ARVs in KENYA and you are locked down in Nairobi, head down to AMREF along Lang’ata road or Call 0752 455 192, and pick for a month.
Please pick for only a month, make sure you have evidence that you are HIV Positive, or know the type of ARVs you are taking.
I hope this sorts out most of your requests on where to get ARVs during this time and your Comprehensive Care Clinic (CCC) is not in Nairobi.

Dear person living or affected by HIV and AIDS, how are you still holding up?
Anne Frank once said "I don't think of all the misery but of the beauty that still remains".
We are facing quite a lot of misery and a lot of us are almost about to give up. We ask ourselves, how long can we endure this?
Try not to think only about misery, instead search for something beautiful around you. Search in your photo album for those pictures that could bring back the best memories of places you visited, events or parties you attended. Take a walk in the nature or close your eyes and listen to the birds singing. Something that can calm your mind. Listen to your favorite music. There is still a lot of beauty around us, we just need to look for it. I for example had my best moment when I set out for a walk and made pictures of every different flower I found on my path; In parcs, along roads, in private gardens. I discovered beauty everywhere.

Don't quit yet, the worst moments are usually followed by the most beautiful silver linings .You just have to stay strong, remember to keep your head up and remain hopeful.

"Everyone has inside of him a piece of good news. The good news is you don't know how GREAT You can be!
How much You can LOVE!
What You can ACCOMPLISH!
And what your POTENTIAL is." Let us be reminded by Anne that we still have that good news within us. The calamity is a great teacher, we have come to realize how much great love can lead us to great accomplishement. We take care of each other. We have found new way of communicating since we apply the rules of social distancing. Everybody is doing the best to keep each other safe. The absolute and assential thing is to find peace within ouselves. We can do this and we shall win.
