In 2009, Trampolin pa Trabao ‘a leap towards work’ was established by our sister organization Sonrisa. Our essential goal is to find employment for persons with limitations from the age of 17 and up. Often times, these persons have enough potential to be able to work but have difficulty entering the labor market. By training and working at Trampolin pa Trabao, people with limitations gain work experience and develop both their social and cognitive skills. Located in its dedicated facility in Pavia, Trampolin employs a Job Coach and Assistant so that our clients can participate in a structured job training and
guidance program which consists of 3 phases: discovery, training and eventual employment. The ultimate goal is of course to match them with local employers that best complement their potential. In addition, out of necessity to remain self-sustainable over the years and not rely solely on government aid, our foundation houses a full-sized kitchen
which employs a cook and assistant cook, offering catering to other local NGO’s and private customers. Trampolin pa Trabao fosters a better environment, understanding and respect for its clients regardless of their limitations. Seeing them discover their selfworth, talents, and place in the world is a rewarding experience to be a part of!
