Got Bedding, Blankets or Sleeping bags from the recent On Country Trips that need a wash?

Come down and see the friendly Orange Sky team. They'll be available to help wash and dry your bedding, making sure everything is fresh, clean and ready to use again.

Everyone is welcome. Drop in, have a yarn, and make use of this great free service for the community.

We are incredibly proud to have attended and supported the Men’s Behaviour Change Program delivered by Cross Boards in Yuendumu

The men spoke highly of the program, sharing how valuable it has been to participate in a safe, respectful, and Aboriginal-grounded space. Many expressed that programs like this are needed in our communities and would like to see them continue and run more often.

The program provides men with a safer pathway to reflect, learn, and make positive changes, while complementing the goals of other support programs. It creates opportunities for stronger relationships, healthier families, and safer communities.

We are proud to be part of this work and value the strong partnership with Cross Boards. Together, we can continue supporting men to grow, heal, and strengthen themselves, their families, and their communities.

🌟 A Proud Day for Yuendumu! 🌟
A huge congratulations to our three community members Warwick, Louanna and
Louis! 🎉
From being amazing and dedicated Community Safety Patrollers serving the people
of Yuendumu to now becoming Aboriginal Liaison Officers (ALOs) with the Northern
Territory Police, your journey is one to be incredibly proud of.
After recently attending ALO Training at the NT Police College in Darwin, all three
successfully completed the course and are now officially Aboriginal Liaison Officers.
This achievement is a testament to your hard work, commitment and passion for
supporting your community.
You have already made a significant difference through your work with the Community
Safety Patrol, and we know you will continue to build strong relationships, support local
families and help create safer communities in your new roles with NT Police.
Your success is an inspiration to our young people and demonstrates that dedication,
perseverance and community leadership can open incredible opportunities.
Please join us in celebrating this fantastic milestone and wishing Warwick, Louanna
and Louis every success in this exciting new chapter.

🖤💛❤️ Fifty years of deadly...

One proud community.

2026 NAIDOC Week brought community together to celebrate 50 years of NAIDOC — honouring the strength, resilience and culture that continues to shape our next generation.

Across the week, our new Kulcha Kutz salon welcomed community members of all ages through it's doors.

As always there were fresh fades, bold colours, plenty of yarns and smiling faces.

A huge thank you to Esmae and Brandy from Hair Bar Central - Alice Springs along with Sea Simone For Hair, for generously sharing their time and skills with Yuendumu community, and to everyone who helped bring Kulcha Kutz to life ready in time for NAIDOC Week.

A big thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us at the salon and our new coffee cart on our Elders day.

It has been awesome to share the week with you.

Every year, our NAIDOC Week Pop-Up Salon becomes one of the liveliest and most loved places on community.

There's always a buzz around Yuendumu as people get ready for the week ahead. We’ve already got people stopping us in community to ask when they can get a new colour.

This year we're excited to be opening our brand-new salon... Kulcha Kutz. 🖤💛❤️

These photos are a little look back at some of our favourite moments from the past two years, and it's almost time to make some new memories for 2026.

In April, our community came together to celebrate these men: Callum Sampson, Urich Wilson, Ralph Rice and Lethan Egan, who all graduated from the G.O.P. program.

It was a chance for everyone to recognise the consistent effort the men have put into the program and acknowledge the positive steps they are taking in their lives.

By doing this work on themselves through the 13-week G.O.P. program, these men are helping build a stronger future for themselves, their mob and Yuendumu community.

Earlier that week, the men prepared the area for the graduation gathering, clearing overhanging trees, preparing wood, and tidying the area ready for the cook-up.

We will be celebrating another G.O.P. graduation coming up soon, but help celebrate these men with us…
