🐴 Helping Injured Working Animals Recover in India 🇮🇳

In July, our partner Blue Cross of India (BCI), supported by Animal Aid Abroad, delivered urgent care to 20 working horses and a pony across Chennai. Treatments included intravenous fluid therapy, wound management, hoof care, deworming, and support for respiratory and gastrointestinal illnesses — all provided directly in the field through their mobile hospital.

💛 Over 30 animals were rescued, including bulls, cows, calves and a buffalo, with 14 emergency cases attended to. One abandoned bull with a painful hoof injury received timely intervention, allowing him to regain comfort and mobility.

🐴 Over 2,000 Equines Treated in Egypt – But More Need Us 🇪🇬

In July, our partner Animal Care in Egypt (ACE), supported by Animal Aid Abroad, provided lifesaving care to more than 2,000 donkeys and horses. From colic and respiratory infections to lameness and skin disease, every treatment turned suffering into relief and dignity.

🏥 53 equines were admitted for intensive hospital care, while hundreds more received outpatient treatment. Veterinary students were also trained, ensuring knowledge is passed on to future generations.

🐪 Alleviating Suffering and Providing Compassionate Care for Working Camels in India 🇮🇳

In June, our partner Camel Rescue Centre (CRC) in Bassi, supported by Animal Aid Abroad, treated 310 camels and provided veterinary care for 403 other animals, including horses, goats, dogs, cows and sheep.

In June, our partner LSPCA, supported by Animal Aid Abroad, reached 123 working donkeys in rural Malawi with veterinary care and owner education.
