🐴🌍 Education & Humane Equipment Transform Donkey Welfare in Malawi 🌍🐴

Animal Aid Abroad, together with our partner Lilongwe Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (LSPCA), is improving the lives of working donkeys through veterinary care, education, and humane equipment.

In March, mobile clinics reached 123 donkeys in Nkhoma and Mponela — treating wounds, infections, and trypanosomiasis, while also teaching owners about proper care and safe handling. Farmers built and tested improved harnesses and pack saddles, reducing injuries and ensuring healthier working animals.

Today, the sanctuary cares for 22 rescued equines, providing safety, nutrition, and veterinary care for animals once abandoned or at risk of slaughter.

✨ In March, Muñeca, a four‑year‑old donkey at risk of being discarded, was rescued thanks to local advocates and relocated to a loving home in Zipaquirá. Her story reflects AAA’s mission to turn burden into care by empowering local partnerships to deliver lasting change.

In March, AAA and our partner Camel Rescue Centre (CRC) in Bassi, India treated 379 camels and an additional 378 animals including horses, goats, dogs, cows, and sheep — showing how your support uplifts entire communities of working animals.

🚑 Mobile veterinary teams reached remote villages, treating camels suffering from mange and diarrhoea, while educating owners on hygiene, feeding, and proper care.
🏥 Community clinics and annual camps provided deworming, vaccinations, and wound care to hundreds more, bringing relief where it’s needed most.
