ADOPTION FEES:

�Small and Toy Breeds:

�Small/Toy breeds/ Specialty small breeds (under 10 years) - $500
�Small/Toy breeds (over 10 years) - $350


�Medium, Large and Extra Large breeds:

�Puppies under 12 months - $800
�Specialty Breeds adult and puppies (under 10 years) $500 to $800
�All other dogs - $400
�Senior medium, large and extra large dogs (10 years +) - $250

Everyone, say hello to Porkchop, Angus, Schnitzel & Brisket - four little characters who have landed with us and are already keeping everyone on their toes!

Introducing the four little legends:

🐷 PORKCHOP – thinks personal space is a conspiracy and being directly under your feet is a perfectly reasonable lifestyle choice.

🥩 ANGUS – handsome, confident and already fully aware that he’s the main character.

🍗 SCHNITZEL – tiny body, BIG personality. Has never met a rule she couldn’t creatively reinterpret.

🔥 BRISKET – the chilled-out member of the gang… until the zoomies hit and suddenly we’re questioning every life decision that led us here.

Four puppies. Four personalities. One very busy foster/rescue crew. 😂

They’re cute, chaotic, cuddly and absolutely guaranteed to keep you entertained.

🐾 WANTED: ONE HOME BODY WITH EXCELLENT CUDDLING CREDENTIALS 🐾

Do you work from home?
Home most of the time?
Or simply consider leaving the house an unnecessary inconvenience? 😂

WE NEED YOU. 👀

We’re urgently looking for someone in the Illawarra who can open their home to a gorgeous puppy for a few weeks while they wait for their next adventure. ❤️

Because puppy is still little, they cannot be left alone for more than 3 hours at a time or taken to places with exposure to nasties.

In exchange, you will receive:
🐶 A tiny shadow
💩 Surprise floor decorations
💨 Random zoomies
🦷 Questionable decisions involving teeth
🥹 Excessive puppy cuddles
❤️ And approximately 847 moments where you say, “Oh my GOD, you’re cute.”

The boring-but-important stuff:
📍 Must be located in the Illawarra
🐕 If you have a dog, they MUST be tolerant of normal puppy behaviour
🚗 Must be able to take puppy to vet appointments and meet & greets when needed
⏰ Puppy cannot be left alone for more than 3 hours at a time

This is only for a few weeks, but those few weeks could make a HUGE difference to this little one's future. 🥹❤️

We have 5 Staffy pups, only 2–3 months old, desperately needing foster homes! 🐶❤️

🏡 Carers MUST:
• Be home a lot - pups need 3 feeds a day + supervision and be in Illawarra NSW regiona
• Foster in pairs if you don't have a friendly, tolerant dog
• Commit until adoption
• Follow rescue foster rules
• Work with us around vet appointments & meet & greets

✨ EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST NOW OPEN ✨

10 years young, full of personality, and absolutely NOT ready for retirement! 😂🐾

Meet gorgeous Bailey, our sweet, gentle Bordoodle who is proof that age is just a number when you’ve still got adventures to tick off the bucket list! 🌊🐶

Bailey is currently living her best foster-life with Renee & Dave, and their three handsome fur boys Leroy, Heath & Benjamin. 💙🐾 Having doggy company around helps Bailey feel safe, settled and confident and this is something that needs to continue in her forever home.

🏡 SO… WHAT DOES BAILEY WANT?

Honestly? She’s not asking for much. 😂

❤️ A human who is home a fair bit
🐶 A calm, easy-going doggy sibling - NON-NEGOTIABLE
🌳 A securely fenced yard with 6ft fencing
🌊 Someone who is up for walks, beach adventures and enjoying life
👧 A family who understands what a gentle old girl she is - Bailey has been around kids of all ages and is wonderfully gentle

Bailey’s anxiety is significantly better managed when she has another dog around, so having a suitable canine companion isn't simply a bonus, it is an essential part of her wellbeing and therefore a non-negotiable for her forever home. 💕

And while Bailey might have a few more grey hairs than the youngsters, she’s still got plenty of zoom, sass and adventure left in her! 😜

Today we celebrate the creatures who make our lives louder, messier, sillier, more expensive… and infinitely better. 😂❤️

From tiny lap warmers to giant couch potatoes, working dogs to rescue dogs still waiting for their forever families, every dog deserves to be loved, safe and celebrated. 🐶💕

And because we know our BFFE family stretches far and wide, we want to see where our dogs are celebrating International Dog Day! 🌏

🐾- Volunteering opportunities

Our dog rescue and boarding facility in Albion Park, NSW is in need of passionate and reliable volunteers to help care for our dogs and give them the love and attention they deserve.

We’re specifically looking for volunteers who are 18+ and available:
🕣 Between 7am – 9:30am
🕒 And/or 3:00pm – 6:00pm
📅 Monday to Friday
Weekend volunteering is also available

As a volunteer, you'll be:
🐶 Spending time with our dogs
🏃‍♀️ Helping with basic training
🛁 Assisting with their daily care
🎒 Even taking them on adventures – or the occasional sleepover!

While this is a volunteer role, we’re seeking individuals who can commit to at least 2 hours per week. Commitment begins with attending our mandatory induction.

👉 Our next volunteer induction is scheduled for Saturday 29th August at 9.30am – rain, hail or shine!
(You will only receive a confirmation and further info if you are able to attend this date.

Our Griffy has had a little procedure to deal with a broken tooth that needed to be removed, but that's just a small part of today's update. 🐾

The BIG news is that Griffin is finally getting the attention he deserves!

He is taking all the comments, shares and APPLICATIONS very seriously… YES, HE FINALLY GOT SOME! 🥹❤️

We’ll be carefully reviewing the applications with the help of the fella himself, because finding Griffy's humans isn't about finding just any home, it's about finding the right home for our big goofy boy.

To everyone who has commented, shared his posts, tagged friends, followed his story and kept talking about Griffy - THANK YOU. ❤️

Every share has helped keep his gorgeous face in front of more people, and we are finally starting to see that pay off.

After all this time waiting, we are really hoping we can say soon…

Still Waiting 💔

Tonight, Griffin will spend another night behind kennel doors.

Not because he’s done anything wrong.
Not because he isn’t a good boy.
Not because he doesn’t have so much love to give.

Simply because nobody chose him....again

And tomorrow morning, we’ll open those kennel doors, put on his lead, give him cuddles and tell him he’s a good boy… and he’ll still be waiting.

Waiting for someone to look past his size.
Waiting for someone to see the goofy, loving, loyal dog underneath it all.
Waiting for someone to say, “That’s my boy. I choose you.”

Griffin doesn’t understand why he keeps getting overlooked. He just knows that once everyone goes home, the lights go down and the kennels get quiet… he’s still here.

Another night.

Another day that someone else was chosen.

Please don’t let Griffin become the dog everyone feels sorry for, but nobody chooses. 💔

He deserves his own couch. His own person. His own family.

He deserves to finally go home. 🐾❤️

Thanks to our incredible BFFE family, supporters, volunteers, donors, businesses and everyone who came along and helped us make our Christmas in July Jingle & Mingle Drag Trivia Night one for the books…

🎉 WE RAISED A MASSIVE $8,898.30! 🎉

And the cherry on top? The Great BFFE Shave absolutely SMASHED $5,000 target! 🪒🔥

A massive, slightly emotional, possibly regrettable 😂 THANK YOU to our brave shave victims… we mean volunteers…
