⛵ FAREWELL & THANK YOU, CLAIRE! 💙

After being part of the GRLLEN team since 2019, our wonderful Claire has officially set sail on a new adventure! ✨

During her time with GRLLEN, Claire has made an incredible impact on our School to Work program, supporting schools, students, families and networks across the Geelong region to create meaningful pathways and opportunities for young people.

From working alongside schools and building strong connections with local networks to supporting students and their families, Claire has been an invaluable part of the GRLLEN journey.

While we’re sad to see her go, we’re so excited to see what this next adventure holds for her! ❤️

Claire, thank you for everything you’ve contributed to GRLLEN and the young people and communities you’ve supported along the way. Your impact will be felt long after you’ve sailed off into your next chapter.

Learning about healthcare careers is very different from experiencing a hospital environment firsthand.

As part of Module 3 of GRLLEN’s World of Work: Health and Community Services program, students visited Barwon Health, St John of God Geelong and Epworth Geelong to explore the breadth of opportunities available across the health sector. The visits helped students understand the distinction between clinical and non-clinical roles, how different hospital departments work together, and the range of skills required to support patient care and hospital operations.

Students participated in practical activities, toured hospital facilities and spoke directly with staff about their roles, career pathways and experiences working in healthcare. These industry immersion experiences help young people connect their interests with real workplaces, ask informed questions and develop a clearer understanding of where a career in health could take them.

GRLLEN acknowledges , and for supporting this valuable student learning experience.
