Reddall reserve parkrun would not be possible without our wonderful team of high vis hero's.

Without these hero's our course is not checked, there are no signs helping you find your way, no PB's, no results, no photos, no one checking that we are all safe, no one watching out for hazards and most importantly your biggest supporters are not out of course cheering you on.

At Reddall Reserve and every Parkrun, volunteers are the key.

Please reach out at any time if you can help keep our Parkrun running.

Today we celebrate and show our deepest appreciation to the following legends.

Melanie, Raghunandana, Lauren, Aaron, Lauren, Rod, Sherene, Sue, Rebecca, Atlanta, Ashleigh, Denae, Matt, Andrew, Louise, Steve, Karen, Stephen, Kelley, Blaire, Grant, John, Patrick, Terry, Sherrie, Ashley, Belinda, Brendan

We are on!!
Reddell Reserve Parkrun event number 52 is ready to go tomorrow!!

We are very grateful to have a full volunteer roster so there will be plenty of friendly faces around tomorrow — but if you’re wanting to wear a red vest we will be grateful for more volunteers — so come and see LAUREN M our Volunteer Coordinator, at the hut before we get underway — and please let us know if you would like volunteer in the week's ahead, AARON will be ready to take your name.

The main car park will fill quickly, so follow directions of our Car Park Marshals, SHERENE and ROD— they will kindly direct you to either street parking or car parks further down Reddall Parade, if required.

By the time you arrive in the morning, RAGHU will have already checked over the entire course — and, as always, our event will only proceed if he advises our course is safe and ready to go. No doubt RAGHU will let us know that our course is flat, fast and friendly.

First timer? Visitor? Adventurer? No worries! BEC and ATLANTA will go over everything you need to know during the First Timer’s Briefing at 7:45am. They will explain everything, including our course and be able to answer any questions you may have, especially if this is your first time to parkrun or Reddall Reserve — don't miss it, we don't want you taking a wrong turn!

If you're up for a walk and talk then catch up with BLAIR— she will be in the blue parkwalking vest — and will be happy to chat with you around the course!

Having a party at the back are our Tail Walker SHERRIE— she will ensure no one gets lost or finishes behind them!

Marshalling you around the course, keeping you on the LEFT and making sure you don't take any wrong turns will be LOUISE, ANDREW, STEPHEN, KELLEY, STEVE and KAREN and so give them some kudos as you go by and they all love a high-5 and we love our Marshals.

Our finish line team includes; ASHLEIGH, DENAE, MATT, ASHLEY and LAUREN W — timing you, handing out tokens, cheering you home, encouraging you to a PB and all hoping there are no funnel duckers and for all our precious and finish tokens to be returned and in order

SUE will be out on the course taking photos. Make sure you give her a smile, a wave, a high-five, or a zoomie when you pass them on the course, SUE loves an action shot and we all love a great parkrun photo! Give her plenty of warning if you're hoping for a JUMP SHOT! And if you don't want your photo taken, give a big "X" to let her know in advance! We'll get the photos online later in the day.

Big thanks also to our course crew members —LAUREN W and BELINDA— for putting out all our equipment, cones and signs in place for the morning and then packing it all away after the event.

Our Pre-Event Brief takes place just before start time, which is 8.00am with our Run Director, MEL ... heads-up, be warned ... don’t be late, we will (aim) to get you underway at 8:00 am sharp!

As you can see, Reddall Reserve parkrun really is a volunteer team event — without the assistance of all of these wonderful volunteers each week, our event could not take place!

There’s a water station near the kiosk for you and your furry canine companion, but if needed, bring a bottle with you to take on course. Speaking of ... if they p**p, please scoop! Bring along some doggie bags for their number twos!

EXPECTED WEATHER:
Mostly sunny morning. Winds northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h increasing to 25 to 40 km/h during the morning
TEMPERATURES will be a lovely Spring like 17°C at start time and rising to 21°C at 9.00am.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
1. UNTIL OUR EVENT GETS UNDERWAY WE ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO TRY AND STAY ON THE GRASS AREAS — THIS ALLOWS OTHER USERS OF THE CYCLEWAYS TO HAVE FULL AND UNIMPEDED ACCESS PRIOR TO THE EVENT. BE AWARE OF OTHER USERS — ESPECIALLY CYCLISTS — AT ALL TIMES.
2. If all our stroller users could self-seed alongside the concrete wall, keeping as far to the left as possible at all times — being almost "convoy-like' as you head towards the first u-turn. This way, parkrunners behind are not stopping suddenly if you change direction mid-run.
3. WE ASK ALL PARTICIPANTS TO PLEASE START ON THE CONCRET PATH, SELF SEEDED TO ENSURE A SMOOTH START FOR EVERYONE

IMPORTANT — SHARE THE PATH & STAY SAFE:
We’d like to remind everyone how important it is to share the path safely, especially along our narrow out-and-back section where space is limited and two-way traffic can get busy.

Although parkrun is a timed event, parkrun is not a race. Your safety — and the safety of those around you — always comes first.

Please remember:
🔹 Stay to the LEFT at all times unless you are overtaking.
🔹 Look ahead and be aware of runners coming towards you on narrow sections.
🔹 Slow down when needed, particularly at pinch points or when the path becomes congested.
🔹 Give space, communicate, and pass with care.
🔹 Above all, respect each other — everyone is out here to enjoy their morning.

These simple actions help prevent collisions and ensure that every parkrunner, from the front to the tail walker, enjoys a safe and positive experience.

Our continued use of this course depends on how responsibly we treat it. Let’s protect this privilege, look out for each other, and make sure Reddall Reserve remains a fantastic place to parkrun.
parkrun is not a race — let’s keep it friendly, safe, and welcoming for everyone.

Looking forward to seeing you all in the morning for a run, walk, jog, jump, stroll or push!
DON’T FORGET NEXT WEEK IS OUR BIRTHDAY, we hope you can all join us for the celebration.

Hi folks, we just need ONE MORE MARSHAL for this week’s parkrun! 🙏

Honestly, it’s one of the best volunteer roles going — it’s easy, you get to see everyone, cheer everyone on, and generally feel like the most popular person on the course! 📣😄

If you can spare a little time to help us out, it would be absolutely fantastic.

Cheers, Sue😉
