ON GOING POLICY

Due to our insurance and our commitment of promoting safe recreational fishing for all our members, the following guidelines will be adhered too. DEFINITION - Any member that has broken the law in the time of any function or club outing will not be supported in any way by this club (Warilla Hotel Amateur Fishing Club). THIS CLUB DOES NOT CONDONE THE USAGE OF ANY ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE

BY MEMBERS AT ANY TIME. DEFINITION - This club will not condone or be held responsible for the usage of any illegal drugs at any club functions or outings. THIS CLUB, FROM TIME TO TIME, WILL SUBSIDISE MEMBERS FOR FOODS, SOFT DRINKS AND ANY OTHER ITEMS THAT THE STANDING COMMITTEE SEE FIT AT THEIR DISCRETION. DEFINITION - This club will not supply any alcohol at any club outing. NOTE – Fishing Club may supply alcohol to members during an organised club event (e.g. The Club endorses all Responsible Service of Alcohol protocols and supports the Hotel Management in the implementation of the R.S.A laws and all other pub policies. Any member of the fishing club that has any issues or concerns relating to the fishing club, sponsorship or competitions, must address these concerns with the fishing club committee only. At no time should a member voice concerns to hotel staff or management. The committee will hold regular meetings with hotel management and members, questions will be raised in that forum only. DEFINITION - Hotel Management and staff are not to be approached to resolve any Fishing Club issues. Any Fishing Club member that has been Suspended/Barred by Hotel Management for misbehaving will have the same suspension imposed on them by the Fishing Club committee. DEFINITION - A fishing club member that has been barred from the Warilla Hotel, will not be permitted to represent the Warilla Hotel Fishing Club in any of the events for the period of time they are suspended by the committee or the hotel. AGM will be held at the end of the club year. Date is to be posted no less than three weeks before the meeting. This is to be done by the president in consultation with the committee.
* The Treasurer must give and table the financial report.
* The weigh master also gives their report.
* President will read the last years AGM minutes and address any outstanding issues.
* If no further business, the current President will ask the existing committee to evacuate all positions at the end of each club year. A chairperson will be elected by the members for the purpose of electing the new president. Once the new President is elected, they will chair the meeting. Positions will be elected in the following order:
* President
* Vice President
* Secretary
* Publicity officer
* Weigh master
* Vice Weigh master
* Treasurer
The club will hold a comp and weigh-in every quarter, on the third full weekend of that month.
* Weigh master is to keep all records of any weigh-in throughout the year. Prizes will be awarded in the following order:
* Biggest fish
* Biggest bag
* Nominated species for the quarter
* For all nominated categories (Beach & Rock, Estuary and Blue Water).
* A mystery prize for any member attending the weigh-in
must register with the weigh master on the day to be eligible. Biggest species for the year can be weighed-in at any time throughout the year. This can be done at the pub by the weigh master or by another member not fishing with you. If fishing away, and you have a biggest fish nominate for a yearly record this can be done by any member that did not fish with you and a second member as witnesses is ok, or any government registered scales. A docket must be generated with the following:
*Date of capture.
*Name of the angle.
*Species.
*Weight of fish.
*Witness and second if applicable. It is your responsibility to hand the docket to the weigh master so it can be record on the book and board.
1) Only financial members shall be eligible to compete in any club competitions or any club functions.
2) Juniors must be under 18 years of age.
3) The committee has the power to set up club functions and outing on behalf of members.
4) The committee may set up additional fishing competitions for members. (E.g. - Bream comp, fishing trips away).
5) The committee may also arrange competitions with other clubs on behalf of members.
9) The committee will be responsible for the up keep of the registration to SCFCA/public liability of the committee and all members for the reasons of competitions and insurance.
* Club member of the year is decided by the committee in consultation with
members.
* A member can be nominated for life membership achievement by the committee in consultation with members.
* These rules may only be changed by members nominating any changes in writing not less than three weeks before the AGM or by asking the committee to hold un-extraordinary meeting. The appointment for this meeting will be at the discretion of the full committee. N.S.W FISHERIES RECREATIONAL, REGULATIONS AND SIZE APPLY.

* Fish that is presented for weighing must be gutted and gilled.
* Fish must not be mutilated, stale or frozen.
* Fish must have been caught in N.S.W.
* Record species can be weighed in during pub trading hours. This must be witnessed by the weigh master, a club member (that was not fishing with you at the time of capture) or a member of the bar staff that have some knowledge of fish species and these rules.
* Record species may be weighed in at the Pub or at any premises that have government-registered scales. A receipt must be generated and sign by the owner of the scales. This receipt than must be presented to the weigh master or a member of the committee. (The usage of dockets will not be eligible at the quarterly comps). Quarterly Competition

Note – The quarterly comp bag limits is at a one-bag limit for each species, for the entire comp weekend.
* The competition is held on the third full weekend of every quarter from Thursday midnight to Sunday 4p.m., or unless otherwise specified.
* Fish bags must be in the weighing area by 4p.m. Sunday, or by the specified time. Members can also weigh in during pub trading hours throughout the comp weekend.
* There are three categories, Biggest Fish, Biggest Bag and the Nominated Fish for the quarter.
* The nominated quarterly fish can be weighed in during the quarter at the pub or by docket, docket rules apply.
* Members must nominate their biggest fish first before weighing in their total bag.
* Members are only eligible to take out one prize. By winning the biggest fish prize, you are then not eligible for the biggest bag. The biggest fish will be included in your bag if you don‘t take the biggest fish prize.
* A mystery prize for any member attending the weigh-in
must register in person before 4 pm with the weigh master on the day to be eligible. WEIGH MASTER DECISION IS FINAL. During fishing activities, members are responsible for their safety. THE CLUB WILL ALWAYS PROMOTE SAFE RECREATIONAL FISHING.

Hi everyone, just doing a express of interest about doing a Warilla Hotel Amateur Fishing Club Bendalong reunion for February 2026.
We need to have number, show of interest must be known before any organisation. Once we have numbers we then let everyone know the cost.
