Mothers of multiples: your story matters.
AMBA has made a submission to the Senate Select Committee on Women’s Health. Mothers of twins, triplets and more are five times more likely to experience postnatal depression, and many of us can’t get to the physio, feeding and mental health support we need because services are designed for one baby.
We’ve made 13 recommendations, from continuity of care and funded pelvic health physiotherapy to in-home help, paid parental leave per baby, bereavement care and better data on maternal recovery.
The Senate needs to hear from you too. Submissions can be short and personal, and you can ask for your name to be withheld or for your submission to stay confidential. Submissions officially closed on 9 October 2026, but they are still accepting submissions!
