💜 A little check-in really can mean a lot! 💜
What a wonderful service offered by Transformative Nursing & Support Services, and such an important reminder for all of us.
While services like these play a valuable role in supporting older Australians, it's also worth remembering that we can all make a difference in someone's day.
Whether it's an elderly neighbour, a loved one living alone, or someone who might just need a little company, sometimes a quick visit, a friendly hello, a cuppa or a chat can mean more than we realise. ☕❤️
Life gets busy, but taking a few moments to check in on someone costs nothing and can mean everything.

💜 LIFT THE LID WALK FOR MENTAL HEALTH – TOWNSVILLE 2026! 💜

🚶‍♀️ TODAY'S THE DAY! 🚶‍♂️🐾

The Townsville RSL Women's Auxiliary is proud to help spread the word about today's Lift the Lid Walk for Mental Health! Our very own Christie-Lee Mitchell will be there!

Mental health matters, and sometimes the simplest thing we can do is walk alongside someone, have a chat and remind them they're not alone. 💜

Our very own Auxiliary member will be putting on her walking shoes and joining in the fun today! 👟👏

Even at this time of night, there are literally dozens of people still out there, putting one foot in front of the other for the 24 Hour Challenge. 👏

Some have set themselves incredible 50km targets, while others have already completed dozens and dozens of laps — and they’re still going! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💪

The dedication, determination and community spirit on display is just amazing to see.

🇦🇺 Supporting Michelle on the Kokoda Track 🇦🇺

The Townsville RSL Women’s Auxiliary is very proud to be donating $500 to Michelle Cross as she prepares to take on the incredible challenge of walking the Kokoda Track, raising much-needed funds to support veterans and their families.

Michelle’s commitment is a wonderful example of community spirit, determination and respect for those who have served our country. We are delighted to get behind her and help her on her way. 🌿🥾

Importantly, this $500 donation is only possible because of YOU — our wonderful patrons, members, friends and supporters. 💙

Every lucky number you buy helps the Auxiliary give back to our veteran community and support people like Michelle who are doing extraordinary things for a great cause.

💙 Supporting Those Who Have Served 🇦🇺

Yesterday, members of the Townsville RSL Women’s Auxiliary had the pleasure of visiting our local Wounded Heroes at Hyde Park, where we proudly presented a $500 donation to support the wonderful work they do for veterans and their families. ❤️

We were greeted with plenty of smiles, a good chat and a cuppa, and it was lovely to spend the afternoon with people who share our passion for supporting our veteran community.

Every dollar our Auxiliary is able to give back comes from the wonderful support we receive through our fundraising activities — including our Lucky Numbers Board at the Townsville RSL. So to everyone who buys a number, joins in and supports us throughout the year… this is what your support helps us do. 💙
And speaking of Wounded Heroes… their incredible 24 Hour Castle Hill Challenge is coming up! ⛰️🇦🇺

It’s a huge event supporting the work Wounded Heroes does for veterans and their families, so keep an eye out, get behind them and show them some Townsville love. ❤️

💙 Happy Father’s Day from the Townsville RSL Women’s Auxiliary 💙

Today we celebrate all the wonderful dads, grandads, stepdads, father figures and special men who have helped shape our lives with their love, strength, guidance and support.

For many in our RSL family, Father’s Day can also be a time of reflection — remembering the dads who are no longer with us, those who served our country, and those whose memories we continue to carry close to our hearts. 🌹

Whether you’re spending today surrounded by family, raising a glass to Dad, sharing old stories and a few laughs, or quietly remembering someone very special, we hope your day is filled with love.

The Townsville RSL Women’s Auxiliary is proud to be heading to Wounded Heroes at Hyde Park this Saturday at 2pm to donate $500 in support of the incredible work they do for veterans and their families. 🇦🇺

With the busy Christmas period approaching, we know just how important services like Wounded Heroes are for veterans who may be doing it tough — and we’re very proud to be able to lend a helping hand. ❤️
