Some very special awards, clasps and medals were awarded last week at our meeting! 🏅

🎉 Congratulations to these incredible volunteers for the following achievements.

Steve received a citation for NSW Emergency Service. Tony and Jim received a 15 year clasp. Gary and Ann received a 25 year clasp. John Received a national medal. Greg achieved his crew rating, and another volunteer also achieved their radio rating.
Congratulations to our amazing volunteers who were recognised.

Thank you for the time and commitment you bring to our unit and community. 💙

Fundraising is a really important part of what we do. Self funding our vessels, safety equipment, first aid supplies, fuel, vehicles and bases is extremely expensive. We are so grateful for our Community support and our Uniit is blessed with the most amazing group of volunteers.

A beautiful weekend on Tuggerah Lakes 🌊 🌞

Last weekend was filled with sunshine, stunning views and plenty of training for our volunteers.

Our hall at Marine Rescue Tuggerah Lakes could be the local space you have been looking for.

It is a simple and practical venue suitable for community groups, training sessions, information nights, craft groups, club meetings, small business workshops and regular catch ups.

By hiring our hall, you will also be supporting Marine Rescue Tuggerah Lakes, with all hall hire funds going directly back into supporting our unit and its volunteers. 💙

🔥 Fire and Sea Survival Training 🌊
Last Saturday, we hosted a Fire and Sea Survival course at our Toukley base.

This qulification is an important component for volunteers working towards gaining their Crew rating.

They all practice fire training, deployed marine distress flares and took part in survival exercises with and without a life raft in a pool.

We were pleased to have other volunteers from units such as Marine Rescue Newcastle, Marine Rescue Lake Macquarie, Marine Rescue Brisbane Water and Marine Rescue Norah Head taking part in the course.

Thank you to everyone who attended and congratulations to everyone who completed the training. 😀🎉
