A great night at Toukley Wyong Rotary

Last night we had the pleasure of welcoming District Governor Michele Ellery to our Club.

It was a well-attended evening with plenty of good conversation and fellowship.

Michele also took the time to recognise the work our Club does in our local community. It was great to hear that our efforts are making a difference.

A special moment was recognising Torin O’Grady, who received a two Sapphire Paul Harris Pin in recognition of his contribution to our Club and Rotary.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Toukley Wyong Rotary and the communities we serve.

Join us at our next meeting 7pm on the 14th at The Ary Toukley

Toukley Wyong Rotary Club stands with Nepal 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏

The Board of Directors of Toukley Wyong Rotary Club has unanimously agreed to support the Nepal flood relief project with a donation of $1,000.

As the registered project managers, Jan Pryor and Mitch Cowan are working with our partners on the ground to help coordinate support and assess the needs of communities affected by this devastating disaster. The stories coming from communities downstream are also hugely impacted.

We hope Rotary Clubs across District 9685 and Australia together with our Rotary supporters will join us and support. Together, we can make a little difference.

Funds raised will be dispersed in Nepal through our trusted Rotary partners, the Rotary Club Rudramati in Kathmandu, who will work directly with affected communities to ensure assistance reaches those who need it most.

🙏 Please donate if you can. Every contribution, large or small, will help.

💰 Donations over $2 are tax deductible.

This week, Toukley Wyong Rotary Club members Mitch and Jan met with Steve at Veterans Park near Toukley Bridge.

Our Rotary Club was proud to donate table and chairs, providing a lovely place for visitors and the community to stop, sit and enjoy the beautiful lakeside setting.

Congratulations, Steve, on all the hard work you’ve put into this wonderful project. It’s great to see the area taking shape and becoming a special place for the community.

Keep an eye out for our Rotary signage coming soon!

Today, we're glad to share something we've been looking forward to telling you about.

RAWCS has partnered with Airbnb.org to offer free, short-term accommodation to Australians displaced by disaster. Here's how it works: once a disaster is officially declared, your local Rotary Club or District can reach out to RAWCS, and we help arrange accommodation credits directly for families who need somewhere safe to stay while they get back on their feet.

No cost to the family. No complicated process for the Club.

If you're part of a Rotary Club and would like to help someone access this, please visit our Rotarian Centre https://rawcs.org.au/rotarian-centre/

Rotarians showing compassion.

Toukley Wyong Rotary is proud to support our newest member, Indira, as she prepares her Saturday afternoon food packs, blankets and care packs for people sleeping rough in our local community.

A heartfelt thank you to Bikers Hand Community Hub and everyone who helps make this possible.

A special thank you to Geoff, who delivers the care packs with such genuine compassion and empathy. The respect and care he shows to every person he meets is inspiring.

And to Indira—thank you for your caring heart, dedication, great cooking skills and tireless work behind the scenes. We’re so grateful to have you as part of our Rotary family.

Together, we’re making a difference, one act of kindness at a time. 💛
