Today we want to give a huge shout‑out to one of our clients Remmy who volunteers every week at the Salvos store. This is a big part of his personal goals, and he continues to show dedication, responsibility, and pride in the work he does.

He works so well with all the staff, always brings a positive attitude, and consistently puts in his best effort. We receive wonderful feedback from the Salvos team every single week they always comment on how polite, hardworking, and reliable he is. Hearing this and seeing how much he enjoys his volunteering is truly amazing.
We also want to give a huge shout‑out to thier amazing team. Their support, encouragement, and consistency make opportunities like this possible. They show up every week with patience, positivity, and genuine care, helping our clients build confidence and achieve their goals. The teamwork between staff and clients is something truly special, and we are so proud of the environment they create.
We are incredibly proud of him and the commitment he shows. Moments like these remind us how important community involvement is and how much our clients can achieve when given the opportunity.

Yesterday was all about teamwork, laughter, and our clients supporting each other.
Our older clients spent the morning helping one of our younger clients with baking, guiding them through the steps and sharing plenty of smiles along the way. It was beautiful to see the encouragement, patience, and confidence building happening in the kitchen.

The conversations quickly turned to our upcoming camp, and that’s when the fun really started lots of joking, planning, and playful ideas about how they might “prank the staff” this year. The excitement and creativity had everyone laughing.

It was a great day filled with connection, fun, and memories in the making.

Monday cooking was full of colour and laughter today!
Our clients made fruit kababs, and they absolutely loved every part of it choosing their fruit, practising their cutting skills, and carefully putting each kabab together. The teamwork and focus were fantastic, and the final results looked amazing.

The room was full of smiles, jokes, and lots of giggles as everyone enjoyed the activity. It was a simple but joyful afternoon that brought everyone together and made the start of the week feel extra special.

Today was full of excitement and special moments at The Nest.
One of our clients spent the morning doing animal care, and they absolutely loved every part of it gentle interactions, learning new skills, and proudly helping look after the animals.

Meanwhile, our other client had Book Week, and the highlight of the day was a surprise visit at the nest from our little Spiderman. The smile, the excitement, and the pure joy on his face made the whole moment unforgettable. Seeing how much fun he had was truly heart‑warming for all of us.

A day filled with learning, laughter, and memories our clients will be talking about for a long time.

Thursday at The Nest was full of connection, creativity, and care.
Our elderly clients started the day by helping cook morning tea, and the trainers did an amazing job supporting them sitting together, chatting, and making sure everyone felt comfortable and cared for. It was a lovely, calm start to the morning.

This afternoon brought a burst of energy with outside play, snacks, and a big arts‑and‑craft session. The clients put so much effort into their creations, and the results were absolutely fantastic. Watching them focus, laugh, and proudly show off their finished pieces was the highlight of the day.

Moments like these remind us why we love what we do building confidence, sharing joy, and creating memories with our clients every single da

What a busy and exciting Wednesday at The Nest!
Our morning kicked off with clients cooking breakfast together, filling the house with great smells and teamwork. Later on, some of our clients made delicious pizzas for lunch, showing off their cooking skills once again.

In the Morning, everyone headed outside to count the ducks around the Workhouse always a favourite activity. Afternoon was coming back in for games like Mastermind and Scrabble. We even went for a drive and stopped at the shops to pick up new footballs for our upcoming camp.

The drive sparked lots of memories and stories from past camps, and the excitement for this holiday is definitely building. It’s wonderful seeing how much these moments mean to our clients.

A full day of fun, learning, and community.

Today started with Benji and Shaun playing together before making breakfast as a team. They enjoyed the morning routine before heading off to school. Benji was very proud of creating his stick man and enjoyed showing it to staff.

Monday cooking was a hit today! The clients baked cakes and biscuits, and they all did an amazing job following the steps and working together in the kitchen.

We also had a sweet moment when one of our clients decided to practise doing a support worker’s hair learning, laughing, and giving it their best try.

A fun, hands‑on day full of skills, creativity, and confidence building.

We’re gearing up for our big December Camp, and we need your help to make it unforgettable for our kids!

We’re launching a fun, eco‑friendly fundraiser where every can and bottle counts. By collecting recyclables, we can raise money to cover transport and camp activities giving our kids the chance to enjoy new experiences, build confidence, and create amazing memories.

If you’ve got cans or bottles at home, at work, or lying around, don’t throw them away donate them! It’s an easy way to support our campers, and together we can make a huge difference.

Let’s rally the community, clean up the environment, and help our kids have the best camp ever this December. Thank you to everyone who jumps into support.

Friday at The Nest was full of activity for Shaun. He started the day with his swimming session, which he enjoyed as always. In the afternoon, he joined in ball games, a home movie, and some toy play with the other clients.

To finish off the day, Teen Night took the group out to 1UP Arcade, where everyone had a great time exploring the games and enjoying the fun atmosphere. It was a busy and exciting Friday for Shaun.
