A lovely day out for some of our residents, who recently visited Mont De Lancey Historic Homestead & Café. 🌿☕

There was plenty to enjoy, from exploring the historic homestead and learning more about life in days gone by, to sharing good conversation over a relaxing visit to the café.

Days like these are about more than the destination; they’re a wonderful opportunity to get out and about, enjoy new experiences and spend time together. ❤️

We’re delighted to share a few moments from our Aged Care Employee Day 2026 celebration! 💙

Today was about recognising the people who make Martin Luther Homes such a special place. We came together to celebrate our wonderful team, enjoy some delicious food, share plenty of smiles and recognise colleagues for their years of service and commitment.

A big congratulations to our team members celebrating their 5, 10, 15 and 20 year milestones. Your dedication, compassion and contribution to the lives of our residents, families and colleagues are deeply appreciated.

Aged care is about people caring for people, and today was a chance to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributes each day.

Today, we celebrate the incredible people who make a difference in the lives of older people every day.

To our nurses, personal care workers, lifestyle and wellbeing teams, allied health professionals, hospitality staff, cleaners, maintenance teams, gardeners, administrators, volunteers and leaders, thank you.

Thank you for the compassion you show, the relationships you build and the many thoughtful moments that help the people in our care feel safe, respected, valued and at home.

Your work matters. Your kindness matters. And the difference you make is felt every day by residents, families and colleagues.

A warm welcome to our volunteers from Germany!

We are delighted to welcome our new volunteers, who have travelled from Germany to join our community for the next 12 months.

During their time with us, they will support our residents, participate in activities and become an important part of daily life across our community. Their arrival brings new perspectives, cultural exchange and wonderful opportunities to learn from one another.

Please join us in making them feel at home as they begin this exciting new chapter in Australia.

🎶 Elvis Was at MLH! 🎶

We recently welcomed a very special Elvis tribute performer to MLH, bringing plenty of music, dancing, laughter and unforgettable smiles to our residents.

The occasion was made even more meaningful as we celebrated our incredible students on their final day with us. It has been a privilege to watch them learn, grow and build genuine connections with our residents and team.

How wonderful it is to see the next generation of compassionate nurses and direct care workers beginning their careers. We are so proud of them and wish them every success for the future.

Thank you for being part of the MLH community—you will always be welcome back! 💙

🍫 A Sweet Day Out in the Yarra Valley 🍫

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful visit to the Yarra Valley Chocolate Factory, where the day was filled with delicious treats, beautiful scenery and plenty of smiles.

Everyone enjoyed exploring the wide selection of chocolates, watching the chocolatiers at work and, of course, sampling some of the sweet creations. The visit also provided a lovely opportunity to relax together, share stories and enjoy each other’s company.

It was a memorable outing and a real treat for all involved. Judging by the smiles, the chocolate was definitely a highlight!

🌿 Creativity in Bloom: Making Kokedamas 🌿

Our residents recently enjoyed getting their hands into the soil and creating their very own kokedamas, a beautiful Japanese style of planting where a plant’s roots are wrapped in moss and shaped into a decorative ball.

There was plenty of laughter, conversation and creativity as everyone selected their plants, carefully shaped the soil and added the finishing touches. Each kokedama turned out differently, reflecting the personality and creativity of its maker.

Activities like this are about more than creating something beautiful. They bring people together, encourage connection and provide a wonderful sense of achievement. Our residents were very proud of their finished creations, and we think they look fantastic!

We’re excited to share the fresh new look of our Care Apartment dining and living area. Residents were part of the design process from the beginning, helping create a warm, comfortable space that feels like home and brings people together. The dining chairs feature Marrunga Yubaa – Emerald by Aboriginal artist Lizzy Stagman, adding colour, culture and storytelling to the heart of the room.
