DARE Disability Support has been providing high quality programs to people with a disability since 1961. We are most recognised in the community through DARE Industries, particularly the DARE Grounds Maintenance crews, who were the 'Supported Employees Team' national award winners in the 2009 Australian Disability Enterprises Excellence Awards. DARE Industries produces items such as surveyor's stakes and pegs and contracting work for packaging, assembly and mailouts. In addition to DARE Industries, DARE Disability Support provides Residential Services and Day Programs.

This R U OK? Day, our DARE community came together for a morning tea with staff and participants, sharing a donut, a cuppa and, most importantly, some meaningful conversations. 🍩☕️

R U OK? Day is a great reminder that a simple “Are you OK?” can open the door to an important conversation and let someone know they’re not alone.

Today is a reminder that a simple question can make a big difference.
At DARE, we know that connection matters. Taking the time to ask someone “Are you OK?”, genuinely listen to their answer, and let them know they’re not alone can mean more than we realise.
Whether it’s a friend, family member, colleague, support worker, participant or someone you simply cross paths with, take a moment today to check in. 💛
You don’t need to have all the answers. Sometimes, being there and listening is enough.
