Thanks to public donations and Harcourts, Batemans Bay, we now have an electronic keypad entry system for the Emergency Precinct which houses the NSW RURAL FIRE SERVICE (Surf Beach RFB ) and the NSW SES (Batemans Bay unit)

This was the reason why FIRE RESCUE & NSW RFS were called out last night. This is the old Motel behind the AMPOL SERVICE STATION on Old Punt Road, off the Kings Highway.

The Eurobodalla Shire Council provide gas BBQ’s on local beaches for public use therefore check the sign which states no fires on the beach. Fines up to $2.200 can apply.
WHY ARE BEACH FIRES BANNED…prevents Environmental damage, possible bush fires and severe burn risk from remnants of buried coals which can be a danger to children.

Today’s GET READY WEEKEND shows that the Eurobodalla residents are taking this FIRE SEASON seriously as the weather gets warmer. Here a 5 key actions but there were many more questions such as “ where should we go if the fire gets close” or “where is our NEIGHBOURHOOD SAFE PLACE” …..Surf Beach Train every Wednesday from 7pm so if you missed us today then feel free to call into the station…members are happy to help with any questions….stay safe🚒
