GUARDIAN ANGELS ANIMAL RESCUE INCORPORATED
We are a group of volunteers that came together to help a greater need for the animals. Everyone in this rescue has had vast experience within other rescues all around NSW. We've traveled and taken in animals from all over the region From NSW To Vic , Queensland and SA . Thank you. Our mission as a responsible rescue is to take responsibility in providing shelter from the rain and wind, give warmth and care to all animals. We will provided FOOD, WATER, BEDDING, VET WORK & COMPASSION to all animals in need whether they are strays, shelter/ pound & owner surrenders. We will take in all breeds of DOGS & PUPPIES at any age. We hope to build more kennels and cattery to take in more of these babies in the near future. We also HELP with REHOME ASSISTANCE and DOMESTIC VIOLENCE Animal and People
SURRENDERS
So our process when taking in a new animal is
1. The owner fills out a surrender form providing driver license, Microchip number and details of vet work such as vaccinations and any behavioural issues.
2. Upon arrival into care the animals are given a 3 day cooling off period where they get familiar with us and to their new surroundings then we begin to start the basic assessment of lead walking past other dogs and cats and reading body behaviour. This is to assess what training is required for the animals to undergo further.
3. The next step is a temperament test where we see how they behave around kids, how the dogs interact with one another as well as how the cats interact one another too.
4. Following the temperament test and assessment, basic training begins. The dogs will be trained in recall, toilet training, walking well on a lead and know commands such as sit, lay, lay-down and to take treats nicely from a hand. As well as training not to jump. The adoption process begins by looking at potential applicants who will need to provide a divers license for proof of address and yard photos to make sure the yard is secure for dog or puppy.
2. Once we have chosen which applicant is best we arrange a MEET & GREET. If all goes well the adoption process will commence. We ask for the adoption fee to be paid up front before taking the animal. A 14 DAY TRIAL commences to make sure the applicant is a good fit before finalising the adoption. If the applicant is not a good fit we pick up the animal and refund the money minus $50 to cover costs associated with the process.

2.1 Interstate adoptions will be discussed with the applicant on a case by case basis. Details will be provided verbally and within a written contract that will need to be agreed upon, signed and returned before the adoption procedure commences.
