Should the Department of Education feel embarrassed if our community succeeds in opening a new school after they placed theirs in recess? No — because we’re working with a completely different demographic.

Our proposal doesn’t affect enrolments at Cullen Bullen, Ilford, or Glen Alice. Facebook Post – Kids, Nature & Fair Access 🌄

The NSW Government is encouraging families to get kids out into the new Koala National Park — a great idea that gives children a chance to learn in nature. 🐨🌳

But here in Capertee, our students already live surrounded by national parks every day… yet they can’t access a local school that lets them experience their own world‑class environment as part of their education.

Two groups of kids.
One gets a brand‑new park experience.
The other is still waiting for the State Government to let us reopen a school in the middle of a national park.

The State Government recently asked the Federal Government to change cigarette excise policy — a move that costs the federal treasury.

Meanwhile, our request for a simple policy change so the Capertee school site can be sold would actually put money back into the State Treasury.

Two policy changes.
One costs money.
One saves money.
