Story time isn’t just about reading the words on the page — it’s about bringing stories to life 💕

We started by sharing the story together, then little hands created finger puppets and retold the tale in their own way. Finally, the children stepped into the story through role play — pulling and pulling, working together to save the giant turnip!

A little story time takeover at playgroup today… ❤️✨😄
My eldest son, who was visiting us today, spontaneously decided to “steal” my story time role and read the story to the children himself.
Years ago, he was one of the first little ones who grew with our playgroup — and today he was sharing that same love of stories with a new generation.
A beautiful reminder that our language, traditions and culture live on, passed from one little heart to the next. 🇦🇲🤍

🌸 What a joyful morning celebrating Hampartsum (Ascension Day) at our Armenian Playgroup! 🌸
Filled with flowers, laughter, songs, bouquet making, and our beloved Vijag tradition, the children and families enjoyed a beautiful celebration of Armenian culture and togetherness. 💐❤️

Hampartsum is a cherished Armenian tradition celebrated 40 days after Easter, symbolising joy, renewal, nature, and wishes for good fortune. 🌿

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so special! 🇦🇲

Today at the Armenian playgroup we are celebrating Paregentan which is celebrated before the start of Great Lent.
It is a time for joy, feasting, and togetherness.
To mark the day, the children are making Paregentan mask crafts, inspired by the tradition of dressing up and celebrating with colour and creativity.
