Rosedale Unit were getting ready to leave for Heyfield Football Netball Clubs community event when we received an RFA on Cowwarr-Walhalla rd. Fortunately no one was injured and we have finally made it down to the Heyfield Rec Reserve for community day!

Come on down, say hello and check out some of the equipment we use. Our volunteers are here to answer any questions you might have about what we do and how you can get involved.

It’s a great chance to meet the team and learn more about your local SES unit.

Today, members from the Morwell Unit, alongside SES members from across Victoria, came together to honour and celebrate the life of Operations Manager David Bartley.

David was a highly respected member of our SES family, whose leadership, dedication and support left a lasting impact across Gippsland and beyond. His commitment to helping others and strengthening our communities will not be forgotten.

It was a privilege to stand together today, reflecting on his service and the legacy he leaves behind in the people he mentored, the lives he helped, and the organisation he gave so much to.

Our thoughts remain with David’s family, friends, and all who had the honour of knowing and working with him.

Whether you’re keen to help in storms, road crash rescue or support your local community when it matters most, there’s a role for you.
