Dya Australia - Art Workshop Melbourne

Dya Australia - Art Workshop Melbourne Fostering The Art of Creative Thinking™ through hands on, experiential discovery workshops throughout Australia (onsite and online).

Suitable for schools, corporates and individuals. At the DYA Australia, we provide experiential discovery workshops that focus on developing and enhancing the art of creative thinking. This is done through the DYA Art Of Creative Thinking Model that challenges conventional thinking patterns to encourage a wide variety of both personal and social expressions.

“You can’t just talk about creativity,

you must fully experience it” Diti Avdar Yeger, Dya’s founder

We have always maintained the belief that creative thinking is not something that can be only theorised or dispensed. Rather, it needs to be an immersive experience for the individual. Keeping this objective in mind, we have created experiential workshops that focus on immersing the individual in a creative space where they can observe and discover. Corporate

What happens when you paint your colleague? 🎨😄

The team at Cummins recently took part in Dya's Paint Your Colleague workshop, an experience filled with creativity, laughter and a few unexpected masterpieces.

As participants interpreted their colleagues through paint, the session encouraged conversation, fresh perspectives and plenty of memorable moments along the way.

No artistic experience required—just a willingness to have fun, be creative and see your teammates in a different light.

Creativity can happen anywhere 🎨💻

Students at Haileybury recently participated in an online art workshop inspired by the work of Henri Matisse.

Through colour, shape and creative exploration, students were encouraged to think differently, experiment with artistic techniques and express their ideas in their own unique way.

It's always inspiring to see creativity, curiosity and learning come together, even in an online environment.

Great inventors and artists didn’t create in isolation — they looked beyond their own fields for inspiration.

🖋️ Leonardo da Vinci connected art and science.
🌿 Antoni Gaudí looked to nature to design extraordinary buildings.
🎨 Pablo Picasso transformed the way we see shape, form, and perspective.

What can we learn from them?

The ability to ask new questions.
The courage to challenge convention.
The confidence to explore a different path.

At Dya, we encourage children and young people to learn from the great masters—not to copy them, but to discover how inspiration can spark independent and innovative thinking.

💬 Which artist, inventor, or thinker has inspired you the most?

FAQ: Which Workshop Is Best for EOFY? 🎨

The answer depends on what you want your team to take away from the experience.

Looking for a relaxed and social celebration? A Paint & Sip session may be the perfect fit.

Want something immersive and memorable? Paint in the Dark offers a completely different creative experience.

Focusing on collaboration and team connection? Workshops like One & All Picasso, My View – Collective Puzzle and Wire Connections encourage teams to create, communicate and problem-solve together.

Every team is different, which is why we offer a range of creative experiences designed to suit different goals, group sizes and personalities.

Looking closely changes what we see ✏️

Students at Nazareth College recently participated in Dya's Still Life Drawing Workshop, exploring observation, focus and creative thinking through drawing.

Using simple objects as inspiration, students practised slowing down, noticing details and translating what they observed onto paper. What began as a drawing exercise became an opportunity to build patience, confidence and a deeper awareness of the world around them.

A reminder that creativity often starts with paying attention.

Creativity has a unique way of bringing people together 🎨🌸

Residents at Home Apartments in Docklands and Southbank recently participated in our Texture Painting: Waterlilies workshops, exploring texture, colour and creative expression through acrylic painting.

HOME is committed to creating places that foster connection, wellbeing and a strong sense of community. These workshops provided residents with an opportunity to slow down, meet their neighbours, try something new and engage in a shared creative experience.

One of the most rewarding pieces of feedback came from the event organiser, who shared how much they appreciated the balance between step-by-step guidance and creative freedom. Creating spaces where people feel supported to explore their own ideas is at the heart of what we do.

Thank you to HOME Apartments and everyone who joined us across both sessions.

🎨 Inspiration often begins with what we see.

For children, imagination starts as play—a moment where ordinary things transform into colours, shapes, stories, and new possibilities.

The space between observation and imagination is where creative thinking grows.

Through visual exploration, students learn that there isn't always one correct answer. Instead, they discover a world of possibilities for expressing ideas and seeing things differently.
At Dya, we create learning experiences that encourage curiosity, imagination, and independent thinking from early childhood through secondary school.

Nature has been solving problems long before humans started inventing. 🌿

During a week-long event at Haileybury, students participated in Dya's Inventions from Nature program, exploring how natural systems, animal behaviours and environmental adaptations have inspired breakthroughs in science, design and technology.

Through hands-on activities and creative investigation, students developed their problem-solving skills, examined real-world innovations and created their own nature-inspired concepts.

Programs like these encourage students to think critically, ask questions and explore new possibilities through creativity and discovery.
